I love what Warren is doing, but the senate as a whole is pretty worthless right now.

Can't hurt. The House, Senate and Exec office aren't doing a damn thing anyway....

Don't be so cynical. They worked at least 6-7 days last year and over 30 hours if you total it all up, so it's really hard to see how they squeeze in time for this.

I'm not sure what you're point is. Perhaps it'll help if I clarify: I expect the partisan political reactions to come from posters here. Personally, I don't care if it's political pandering or not. I'm simply grateful that someone in office, regardless of her/his party affiliation, is finally trying to help.

This might be the way to go. The NFL has an anti-trust exemption,i'm pretty sure congress snooping around and investigating how they operate is the last thing they want.

They gave up the tax-exempt designation, in part so they don't have to disclose Goodell's salary anymore.

OTOH, they still rely on an anti-trust exemption.

I have very mixed feelings about this. I believe in the separation of sport and state but I'm pretty PO'ed at the Brady situation.
