Which is why I think Elway was dumb to match that CJ Anderson deal.. Kubiak runs the same system, should have just got Morris on the cheap.
Agree with the concept...maybe not the player. Depends on what you think of how good Morris is vs. the wear on him (Anderson is a couple years younger and about 1/3 of the # of carries). I think they'll get more out of Anderson than they would have Morris for the next couple years just because he's fresher. After that the contract is probably worthless anyway.

I think the Dolphins idiotically constructed the contract to have a very small cap hit in year 1, making it easy for Denver to match short term.

Morris has declined every year since his first

I just want Tarrell Brown back, a vet WR like Boldin or Washington brought in, maybe bring in Fairley, and also maybe bring back Blount. Then I'm satisfied with FA. The rest of our roster can be addressed in the draft.

Wonder how that meeting with Fairly went

Hopefully it went well and a deal gets done.. Fairley was by #1 want for the defense. Actually hoped they'd let Hicks go and go after Fairley. Was actually pretty solid for the Rams

I'm just wondering if he's out to get he long term deal. He just came off a 1 year deal. Would we be considering giving him a long term deal?

Well report was Bill offered Hicks a long term deal so yes I think so.

Might be interesting in Fairley's case though due to his alleged work ethic history.

People want to hate Blount but guy was on pace for 1000 yards last season before he got hurt.

Its not that i hate Blount i just think hes incredibly average. People talk about having to be able to line up and run the ball when the other team knows you are going to run it. Blount should be the perfect guy for that but hes just not. He is hesitant behind the LOS and doesnt attack holes and ends up being too slow and the hole is closed.

He had 4 games last season with over 70 yards and all of those games were blowouts, except for the colts. I really think alot of people have selective memory with Blount and just remember the games vs the colts or the game 2 years ago vs the Bills the last week of the season where he had big kickoff returns and a couple long runs.

Anything but the Vet min for a Blount would be an overpay imo.

You know you married crazy when your boss publicly admits that she was instrumental in your release:

She was too crazy for Miami. That's... amazing.

I think with Brown you're just signing up for what happened this year again. He was available to us in the first place because of chronic foot troubles. Good player, but those feet all but ensure that he won't stay healthy through an NFL season. Reminds me of Ahmad Bradshaw, I feel bad for both of them. Regardless, though, that's enough to warrant a pass in my book.

I cant ever recall an owner acknowledging that a player AND his wife needed to go.

Woah, since when are you a mod? Or have you always been a mod? o_O

@Ross12 Grats on your modship! Good choice by @Ian. I'm sure you'll do a fine job for the remainder of your contract. That said, I hope he gets rid of you a year too early rather than a year too late, especially now that comp picks are tradable. :)

Since yesterday! Lol. Ian just officially made myself and @ashley1992 moderators last night. He made an official announcement, but it's on the Help Desk forum so you may not have seen it.

Thanks man. I'm just here to help the team any way I can. Whether that's moderating, special teams, or stealing playbooks from ballrooms, whatever it takes to win. I'm open to restructuring my contract to stay on the team for the long haul, which shouldn't be hard, since it's a zero dollar cap hit as it is. But if @Ian thinks he can get a conditional 7th for me from Cleveland, it is what it is.

He's a good straight ahead power back against weak defenses, but that's it. He does nothing to threaten the outside and nothing in the passing game, by the end of the season defenses had no problem handling the Patriots offense because it was so limited. Imo they have to have a first down back who can get outside and threaten the perimeter in the passing game. The two TE offense is really going to help and I'm fine with Blount back in a power back role but I don't want him as the starter.
