He can't be your lead back. He's got to be either your 3dRB or, if you want to really push it, your RB2. The Patriots still need at least the RB1, if not both the RB1 and RB2.

For all you whiny babies that cried we gave chandler jones away.. This deal never happens without that trade. The five mil we got in cap space just got us a great #2 tight end.

You missed the step where they reacquire Chandler Jones, trade for Arthur Jones, and sign Jon "Bones" Jones.

Wow, this is an incredible acquisition. Bennett will add so much flexibility to our team. I love the fact that he's a strong run-blocker. This offense is going to be downright lethal.

He is the woodhead, Vereen passing formation RB (which is much more than 3rd down back and plays as many snaps as the first down back) who can play in all situations.

Definitely need other guys around due to injury cuncetns but when healthy he is the focus in the backfield

The Pats have leverage because none of his money is guaranteed - he gets hurt and he's screwed. They should be able to work something out.

Bennett is proven. Chandler is who he's always been. The hype around Hogan is closer to Chandler than the hype around Bennett.

Don't sleep on Tyler Gaffney. We've had him stashed away for a couple years. He isn't a midget at 6'. He comes from Stanford, so he's a smart guy. He runs quite well just watch his highlights on YouTube. He is also the typical Patriot: injury history, out of obscurity with something to prove. I think we already have our RB1

I doubt Belichick is sitting there right now with Gaffney pegged as the #1 RB.

My guess is he his keeping an eye on the Arian Foster situation and scouting RBs in the draft

No one on the team is 83 right? WOnder if he keeps that

I'll pass on Arian Foster. 2 of the last 3 seasons he's gone down with injury. Durability issues. I'll stick with Lewis, Gaffney, hopefully Blount and a couple draft picks and UDFAs and see what goes BOOM.
