The Bears soured on Bennett pretty early on when he complained and then they felt he was a locker room distraction. Fox obviously wanted no part of him.

I think he'll be fine in NE as long as he buys into being a team player.

It would be interesting to see the files New England keeps on players in the NFL. You can bet your bottom dollar, when opportunities like this trade come up, the Patriots are able to execute because they're prepared.

I bet they have jackets a big as a phone book on every player active and in college. I bet their archives make the New York Public Library look like a RIF truck.

You know in all honesty I think BB was only a so-so GM when he started here. He has improved over the year in that regard and it has caught up with his coaching ability pretty well.

He use to make more bad moves than he does these days IMO. I know he did some good things in the 2000-2009 period but seems to have improved since that uneven time and has been consistently making good GM decisions.

I think the Jets have also made some good moves. If they can find a QB they could make some noise.

I think its ironic how the pro-personnel and draft decisions got better after Pioli left in 08 and became quite good in 2010 and to now.

If anything he can cover for Gronk in case of injury, or extend Gronk's career itself.

Then remind him that we're paying the same for this guy this year (and that's if we can't redo an unguaranteed contract).

I dont see anyway Bennett would take a paycut. If you look at the deals handed out to Allen and Fleener, you could argue that Bennett would prefer to be cut.
