Have the Pats already addressed the O-line issues??

To get back to the OP: apparently there weren't any to address.

Apparently BB sees the G position the same way I do.
cooper immediately becomes the #1 G Mason Jackson and Kline can battle for the other spot and hopefully we being in a vet JAG to compete with them.

Resign Wendell. Guard set. Get one or 2 tackles in draft to fight it out with waddle, Cannon and Fleming.

Now with Cooper in the fold, as well as Scar back, I'd say the line has been fixed.

I don't want Wendell back.

T(3): Solder / Vollmer
G(4): Mason / Jackson / Cooper / Kline
C(2): Stork / Andrews

So they will probably draft an T ( they have 11 picks) and they have one spot IMO i hope the rookie wins so they save a lot o money moving on from Cannon

Still think they might be looking at OT in the draft. Vollmer is up after this season will be 33 with an injury history after this season

Same here. OT is something that will be addressed in the draft. Solder's injury is a tricky one and Vollmer's ability seems to be tailing off. I like bringing Cooper in, but I question if he can stay healthy. It seems at least 1-2 more moves still need to be made on the OL.

With 11 picks and 4 in the top 100, the Patriots should be able to add a tackle who should be able to start in 2017.

EDIT: corrected the bolded part to show we have only 4 picks in the top 100..

We have to decide within 2 months whether to exercise a $11.9 million 2017 option on Cooper.

so he's here for a year and then we reap a comp pick ...

Any other scenario???

No way pick that up. His contract has gotten a lot of attention, I'm not sure it's that complicated. Let him play.
If he's awesome, make him a fair offer for a guy who's had one productive season. Certainly if 1 good season in NE got him contract offers in the range of $12m AAV, then 1) I'd be stunned, 2) no ****ing way do you pay that.
If he's average, decide if what you'd have to pay to keep him (3/9, whatever) is better than your other options.
If he sucks, let him go and move along.

Also re: Wendell, I don't see any harm in bringing him back in to compete for a job. If he ended up winning a starting job then GOOD, because that would mean he's the best available guy. It would be a pretty striking indictment against the youngsters if he could, but for all the "he sucks" his name seems to generate the line has generally been a lot better with him than without him in recent vintage. If they can't get 2 quality guards out of the group of Cooper, Mason, Jackson, Wendell, and Kline then god help Tom Brady. They should be able to set themselves up for the next 2/3/4 years primarily out of that list of names, and start to draft tackles to line up behind Solder/Vollmer and eventually take over there.

Dante will straighten **** out. IMO both tackle positions are solidified, let camp and preseason determine, both guards and center.

I have always been of the opinion that the main issue with Pats OL last season was that their replacement Tackles werent up to par. Cannon was exposed. Even early in the season when he was just rotating in every couple of drives he would whiff on blocks that killed drives. I wont consider their OL issues fixed until they upgrade Cannon.

Cooper has the ability to be the #1 OG but as it stands hes not top of the depth chart. He was benched last season and they were moving him to C for next season. BB isnt gonna think of him as the #1 OG on the team because he was highly rated in college. Saying that, like others here i have faith in the coaches here to coach him up to realise his potential and then we might have our #1 Guard.

Hopefully, we'd be able to reach a longer extension should he fit it well, but even if he's only "okay," there's still a chance that he could stay. For example, Dallas recently turned down picking up the 5th year option on Claiborne, then ended up signing him to a 1 year deal worth about 3.5m dollars.

Obviously, we all know that there's no way that Belichick is picking up the 5th year option at 12m dollars for anyone, let alone a guy who he won't even have spent any time with, since it's due in May.

I'm not seeing that as much as you are, particularly with the injury/history of Solder and Vollmer.

Even then, who is our swing tackle? Waddle? That's a big assumption, in my opinion. I think it's highly likely that we bring in at least one new tackle via a draft pick, and it may be a good bet that he's taken in the top 3 rounds.

With 11 picks and 5 in the top 100, the Patriots should be able to add a tackle who should be able to start in 2017.

Actually, it's only 4.

#60, #61, #91, and #96. Our next pick wouldn't come until #127.

Ultimately, your point still stands that they should be able to select a new OT who can push guys like Waddle, Cannon, Fleming, etc for some swing tackle/rotational reps.

Thanks for the correction.. I'll adjust my post.
