Worst cheap shot in a while. Everybody watching. Took out the best WR in the NFL. I'm guessing that's a suspension, probably 4 games, reduced to two

That's probably the first game this year that was decided by penalties, yet wasn't the refs fault, but entirely the players fault.

That was a disgrace. Burfict and Pacman Jones are disgraces to the sport. Once thugs, always thugs.

Whoa easy there, it's not like he was generally aware of some air missing from a football. All he did was try to maim another human being.

$50 fine and an e-mail apology to Brown is what the punishment should be.

That's what happens when you sign these kind of low character guys. Eventually it comes back to bite you.

In my opinion the NFL has a great case here to throw a player out of the league, he does have a history, I dont know if there is a precedent though

Oh nonsense. It was mostly a shoulder to shoulder hit. Notice that after they figured out that if they should the reverse angle where you could see what actually happened, they stopped showing it. Deion called it out on the postgame.

It shouldn't be any, but seeing as how it's the chickenshit NFL, they'll give him a game to cover their asses.

This is probably the only thing the NHL has over the NFL is legislation of head hits. That's 20+ games in NHL. So that should be at least 4 games in the NFL especially for a repeat offender.

berfict is a thug

idiot ran down the tunnel like he won the SB!! **** YOU *******

You can take the thug out of the ghetto, but you can't take the ghetto out of the thug!

Zero games. It was a shoulder hit. He should be fined, but that's it.

I'd rather players be allowed to smoke a little weed on their own time than to play like Burfict does, or like TJ Ward/Bernard Pollard does.

The rules are so ****ed up, they'd rather a small number of role models get face time and ignore the majority of thugs in the league, as long as the superstars get good face time all is fair.

I couldn't possibly agree with you more. I bet Burfict gets a one game suspension, if anything. It's probably going to be a high fine, or more likely, a combination of the two.

Any talk of multiple game suspensions is way too harsh, especially under the circumstances. It's possible that he could've let up a split second prior to the hit, but it's nothing even close to some of the stuff we've seen over the years.

The penalties might be more severe if their probation officers find out..

When Burfit intentionally maims a star player who will impact the next game the Steelers play, the penalties need to be severe..

I hate the fat that we lost in Miami but I would not want t have played that team....they are a dirty dirty football team...

He was trying to take him out. Clear as day. I don't know what hit what, but that was head hunting defined. He should be on the sidelines for that hit.

EDIT: I watched again, it was a shoulder to helmet hit. I haven't seen an angle that shows differently. Even if there was, he was clearly targeting Brown with a high hit. Regardless of whether or not it was an illegal hit by the letter of the law, it certainly deserves a suspension. His intentions were revealed by how he hit him. He didn't try to wrap him up at all, he just went for the head.

But at least he has Deion on his side...
