#2 Tom Brady
#3 ???? IDK.
I think if Cam takes it unless Carolina loses at least 2 games.
BB got coach of the year in 2007...Brady ain't getting that award, I doubt he ever was. Too much "But, but, Deflategate..." going on still. Let Cam win it.
Naaaahhh...that just isn't true. Virtually every major writer had Brady as their mid season MVP; he is the leading pro bowl vote getter. Deflategste bias, IF it exists at all, which I'm skeptical about, isn't the reason. Let's face it: over the last five games or so he hasn't been his typical great self due to injuries and some bad decisions. Newton has been playing out of his mind.
Any reason you choose not to include rushing stats and team record?
Find me one stat site that has this mystery creation. Equating a passing yard to a rushing yard is as dumb as it gets. Regardless, If Brady doesn't win, you'll just blame Goodell anyone....you got it covered.Total yards, genius.
And why the hell would I need to separate rushing/passing yards? Total yards is a more accurate way to see just how much both QBs have contributed to their team's offensive performance.
Yeah, maybe he has, but Brady was able to take us to OT against one of the top rated defenses in the NFL, that at one point held so called second best QB Aaron Rodgers to 77 yards, throwing to practice squad players. There should be more considered besides stats, because Brady has been having arguably his best season. And despite two losses, he's still been playing remarkably considering what he has IMO

Fabricated stats, automatic excuse....Homer Central
Brady is probably the OPOY but Newton given his 13-0 record and limited supporting cast on offense is the league MVP right now.Tom Brady is clearly the MVP of the league right now.
Sadly, the media/league would love nothing more than to give it to Cam Newton instead, for a bunch of reasons.
Tom Brady (12 games)
34 total TDs
6 INTs
3,957 total yards
102.8 QB Rating
Cam Newton (12 games)
32 total TDs
10 INTs
3272 total Yards
93.2 QB Rating
Carson Palmer is also in the running, though I think it will ultimately come down to Brady vs Newton.
What do you guys think it will take for Brady to win the MVP this year?
I think for him to have a chance, the Patriots need to get the #1 seed in the AFC and the Panthers have to drop at least one game.
Yep. Newton's weapons are joke. Greg Olsen is his only above-average teammate on offense. When healthy, our offensed featured Edelman and Gronk (both premier players), plus two very solid role players in Amendola and Lewis. I know we've been hit by the injury bug recently, but for most of the year Brady has had a very respectable surrounding cast.Cam is throwing to Greg Olsen, Ted Ginn, Jerricho Cotchery, Philly Brown, and Devin Funchess. He's got worse weapons than Brady, even with Edelman and Gronk out.
Cam wins it. At the moment the Panthers are undefeated and look like staying that way. Even if they don't, Cam would still win because he's never won it before and he's black. He is playing at a MVP level and his story and the 'culture' he is bringing to the league is just too good for voters too pass up even if Brady and Carson threw for 5 TD's every game for the rest of the year.
Even when Brady was playing lights people were giving Cam the MVP nod over Brady because of the 'culture and style' he brings to the league. I'm moving past the euphemism and saying it how it is.Thanks for adding your opinion. Surprised the Grand Wizard lets you post here.
I don't see how highlighting a potential bias by voters makes me a member of the KKK.
