Denver Broncos' QB Osweiler will start vs. Patriots

Its kinda sad if Peyton ends his career like this, even more so if he goes somewhere next year and continues to suck.

He looked pretty good for a guy starting his first NFL game. He scrambled well, looked off safeties, and has a gun for an arm. I am thinking that I would rather see Peyton.

IMHO, the most concerning issue is that there isn't much tape on him for use by BB / Patricia in game planning.

Need the o line at full strenght in that game. They need an early lead to force the kid to throw the football. Stop their running game

I wouldn't mind if he goes to the Jets and sucks.

I doubt he would want to be in the same division as us. My guess is the Rams or Texans. WHe will want to play indoors or in warm weather

He can move well, can throw pretty well and has a couple decent TE's and Thomas, Sanders and seem to be getting a run game going. It won't be easy for NE out there. danvers defense will keep them in the game.

Playing on the road after a Monday night game is a big disadvantage, Osweiler or not I expect a close game.

On the bright side, he took 2-3 sacks yesterday that were some combination of failure to call the right protection at the line, failing to see the overload coming, and/or inability to get the ball out quickly enough when under siege. I expect the Pats to go after him hard early.

I'm guessing BB and Patricia are licking their chops for a first year starter.

I bet first time starters do better than the rest.

EDIT: A Chris Price tweet above says NE's record against them is 39-14, which is a .736 winning percentage. That would be awesome for any other team, but for the Pats it means they win at the same rate against first time starters as they do any other.

How was his arm? I heard he's like 6'8" on the radio... big boy.

He's 6'8" on the radio? How big is he on TV? <rimshot>

I'm here all week... try the veal!!! ;)

Brock looks pretty good for a "rookie" with minimal playing time. He does not seem to panic while in the pocket.

I think regardless of whether Broncos win or lose next week, he will play the remainder of the year. IMO

I also believe this is the end of Peyton's NFL career as a QB. IMO

Kubiak is running the bootleg offense Elway made famous.

It's not a fair fight. Gary Kubiak vs Bill Belichick. Brock Osterizer vs Tom Brady.

It would be easier with PM18 on the field... Anyway It will be a close game

I think we'd all have to agree........a win would be easier to come by if we were facing Peyton. He just doesn't have it anymore. I don't even think he is truly injured (they just made that up or blew it out of proportion so they could bench him while also saving his pride).

The Broncos are a scarier team with anyone else at quarterback. Peyton is immobile and has a weak arm. His mind makes throws his body can't, and that leads to many interceptions. I'd much rather be playing him.

Thing is he is being protected by the run. If we stop the run and put him in difficult 3rd and longs it will be a long day for the broncos especially with how he holds onto the ball so long
