Colin Cowherd ridicules the idea that Aaron Rodgers is comparable to Tom Brady

Aaron Rodgers is a great QB and is the 2nd best QB in the league behind TB. His accuracy, especially on the move is amazing. He leads receivers extremely well and guys like Cobb YAC is a credit to ARod.

Saying that, Brady is in a separate tier. Rodgers takes too many hits and holds on to the ball a bit too long. He takes a long time to use his dump offs rather than doing a quick read.

Brady is #1, but lets not discredit Rodgers. He's a fantastic QB who is probably top 5 of all-time. His accuracy on the deep ball and on the run is bar-none the best in the game.

Rather than bashing Rodgers, we should be crediting TB with how great he is and how his play is superior to the rest.

What you mean is that every time he says something negative about the patriots he's an "asshat" to you and any time he says something positive, there's "some likability to him."
I'm not even talking about what he says about the Pats now am I? You are sure one to jump to conclusions aren't you?

Alright, please point out which of his opinions make him an asshat and which don't.

Yeah... no. 1 good playoff run in his career, hasn't won on the road vs a good team since 2012!, and has fewer comebacks than Andrew damned Luck, plus the whole never comeback from more 8pts down... at any point during a game.

Football is about WINNING. I don't care how consistent you are or the stats you put up. If you aren't fighting to win games, you aren't ever going to be great, and you don't belong among the greats. Until Rodgers starts to actual 'fight' for a win, he should never be considered one of the greats, let alone one of the greatest.

Just let it sink it. Brady twice cameback from 10pt deficits vs one of the best defenses in the playoffs (Balt), then became the first ever to comeback from 10+pts down in the 4th Quarter to win the SB... against the best defense in the NFL... in the same post-season. Rodgers has never done it once... in his entire career. It's pathetic. We hate on Manning for being a 'stat whore', but he is a gamer and has led a ton of comebacks. In fact, he's the definition of the QB that always gives his team a chance, no matter what the score (along with Brady, of course). Rodgers? Forgetaboutit!

I bet you if Rodgers had been the QB of the Giants... we would have won the SB in '07 and '11...

Mostly because we wouldn't have been playing the Giants in either of those games.

it was two 14-point deficits. don't short-change brady!

I can't tell whether it's a good thing or a bad thing that two of the biggest blowhards in sports media, Cowherd and Skip Bayless, are massive Brady homers. They are so idiotic about everything they say until they get around to the Pats and start lavishing Brady with praise over Peyton and Rodgers. Really makes you scratch your head, lol.

Something I found interesting:
Manning has faced a 9pt or more deficit (at any point during a game) 49 times in his career (263 starts). That's 18.6%
Rodgers " " 23 times in his career (110 starts) for 20.9%

He ends up behind MORE OFTEN (on average) than Manning... Kind of goes against "but he's a front runner" nonsense...

Front runner meaning he only plays great when in front. The fact that he's down just as often or more than Manning and yet has never pulled out a second half win is affirmed by that statistic.

If he was actually rarely down and had very few chances to win it might explain that discrepancy as being a small sample. But he wasn't, he just comes up small when he's behind.

Well after Sunday night's fiasco against Denver, Rodgers has a lot to prove.

I have watched many Packers games and that may have been one of if not the worst performance of his (and the whole team) that I have ever seen.

It's one game, but we'll see whether or not the Packers do like the Pats did when KC handed them their ***es last year. Meanwhile, I hope Rodgers is willing to eat some humble pie and for him and McCarthy to get their ***es to work to fix an anemic offense that looks very bland and predictable.

And someone's comment above laughing at MM being called one of the best coaches in the NFL: I agree. He is a good coach but he is no Bill Belichek.
