This victory today was just a battle, let's try to win the war.

As happy as I am it won't happen. NFL has no legal obligation to do so.

The question is does it feel that it has a moral obligation as a matter of fairness?

Nope.

I think Kraft will try, but I don't expect it to happen. The downside to this court situation is that the actual evidence isn't being overturned, just the legal processes. The NFL can say "well, you guys still cheated, we are keeping the picks", and there's little to no recourse the Pats really have available.

I wonder what evidence was overturned since there wasn't too much of that.

Here's how it's gonna go down:

- Get the picks back
- Draft a siamese twin Left Tackle at #32.
- Have doctors successfully split the siamese twins into two Pro-Bowl tackles
- Watch Brady play until he's 65.

Peter King tweeted:

"The right thing happened. Case was never proven. Now the Patriots need to get their 2 draft picks back."

I don't know how, but I'm all for it.

Next up Jastermski and McNally's defamation suits against the NFL. They are not public figures, both have been accused of being part of a conspiracy or worse. Berman does not even seem to buy that that tampering even took place and he didn't even get into the science. Berman uses "allegedly deflated footballs" and "seemingly under-inflated footballs". He did not buy any of it.

Jastremski and McNally, I guarantee you can get a lawyer to handle this for a cut for free. This would be the trial of a career for a young hungry great lawyer looking to make a name. It could be filed in a Federal Court in Mass.

Lets see the discovery in this action. Goodell's troubles could be far from over and he better have his texts.

The only way this could possibly get sweeter, is if Rog had to hand over the Lombardi in February, and call out pick 32 to the Championed New England Patriots.

I think I want the pick back as much for the public embarrassment for Rog as for the Pats gaining its rightful resource back.

Exactly. If the league was ruled by men of honor, they would return the picks as a matter of course. But none of this would have happened if the league was ruled by men of honor. It's ruled by petty, dull-witted, arrogant, jealous, vindictive little men.

But for now at least, we can rejoice in seeing these little men slapped down like the jokes they are.

Kraft's decision to stand down looks so bad now. That clown CC is still talking on espn saying they were fined and had picks taken away. I wish Kraft AT LEAST fought it.

Maybe it's not too late...

They can't get those picks back on the basis of the decision. Berman didn't rule on whether wrongdoing was committed by someone within the organization or not. He basically just said Brady can't be punished if someone else did a naughty.

Since the team was fined on the basis of people within the team doing the naughty, there'd have to be some sort of process to disprove the ball deflation. And Kraft has already demonstrated he doesn't have the desire (or possibly the stones) to go down that road.

we're onto pittsburgh

There's still the matter of that apology BK demanded.

Judge has determined its unlikely Wells was independent.
Maybe Kraft can ask for an actual independent scientific firm to do the analysis, and base opinion on that.

But in actually I think the bus has already left the station on the draft picks
