I'm not at all sure that the celebration that goes along with raising the banner is something that has that much appeal outside of New England fandom. In fact, I'd bet the majority of fans of other teams would love the idea of the Pats not getting to raise their banner on national TV. They certainly don't care to watch that happiness.

Other levers, sure, but this one I think is weak.

The other tactic that would be fun would be for both Stork and our QB, whoever that is, to get right up to the end of the snap clock and put a hand up to the refs, and demand that the ball be changed out because it not inflated properly, or has some other problem. Do that a few dozen times in each away game.

Not sure if this was mentioned. How about replacing the Championship Banner with a NO BRADY NO BANNER banner? While Roger is there. That would be classic.

Make it happen. Spread the word. Make the word trend on Twitter. Put up billboards like fans did in Denver for Tim Tebow. If that fails, hijack the game chanting "We Want Brady!" or "Bring Brady Back!" or "We Want the GOAT!" Make it so that Goodell and Kraft never forgets.

I only travel to one game per season, because I live in NC and the tickets are hardly available. But I would buy a ticket and go there to protest. I would make such injustice on Goodell's part bigger than Baltimore and bigger than Ferguson. Just chill in the parking lot and express my disappointment, perhaps burglarize, loot and burn stuff to get attention... or either bull-rush the gates and stampede the field in protest with thousands of others. It would've well been worth $200 in game tickets and $200-$500 more in travel expenses. In the words of Kaepernick, "Let Tom be great!

The New England Patriots announce they will not be raising their 4th championship banner on opening night of the 2015 NFL season prior to their nationally televised prime time game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The team will instead hold this most meaningful ceremony prior to the first home game QB Tom Brady is eligible to participate in once he is returned to the active roster.
We believe this change in protocal has the full support of all team members and our great fans.

Will Goodell have the stones to attend the season opener?
If so........then Operation Vindication must be engaged
1) Local air traffic control operators reroute Goodell's jet back to NY
2) Mass. State troopers intercept any on-the-ground breech of state lines by Goodell's limo. "Please step out of the car Mr. Commissioner. Are you transporting liquor across state lines?"
3) If Goodell manages to break through the gauntlet, Kraft must refuse luxury box seating and instead provide uncomfortable seating amongst the fans.
4) Using OP's suggestion, no banner celebration.
5) During game, scoreboard operator plays endless clips of fans mocking Goodell.....intermingled with video of footballs being warmed up by heaters in Minny game.
6) Fans fill the stadium with signage mocking Goodell....."Fire Goodell....FU Goodell......The NFL is a Joke....etc"
7) Three hours of Fire Goodell chants by rabid fans

....and if Kraft refuses to allow his supporters to express themselves......Boycott concessions....for this game and every game. In Bob's world, money talks.

Matt Chatham is suggesting on twitter to stay in the parking lot for the opening game in protest. I think fans should skip the first quarter and then enter. Fans should bring in posters mocking the NFL and Goodell and maybe we could start a gofundme page to get posters printed up. Also, they should definitely have their voices ready and some chants organized so it is as impressive as the songs at premiere league games. If Kraft still raises a banner maybe we could get the players to turn their backs in protest.

Kraft needs to show support for Brady. Unfortunately, he cannot fight any sanctions against Brady or the team according to the CBA. His statement condemning the Wells report was a good start, but far from enough.

One thing that needs to be done is not give Roger his nicely wrapped kick off party he wants. Make the pregame before that Thursday night game a big steaming pile of crap for Roger to deal with. No banner. No mentions of the Super Bowl. Lots of chants of "Goodell Sucks!" (would prefer an empty stadium, but that will never happen).
