Amazing first day. can't believe we stole malcom brown while the colts took yet another WR. Now, as Belichick would say, we're onto round 2. today NE has 1 second rounder (pick #64) and 2 third rounders (#96, 97) Who do you guys like?

edit: as a side note, BB said he has never been in a situation with a cluster of picks like NE has at 96, 97 and 101. he said a possibility of a trade up exists but that we'll have to see.

here are some of the guys still available:

1. Randy Gregory, edge defender, Nebraska
2. La’el Collins, offensive lineman, LSU
3. Landon Collins, safety, Alabama
4. Eddie Goldman, defensive tackle, Florida State
5. Eli Harold, edge defender, Virginia
6. Dorial Green-Beckham, wide receiver, Oklahoma
7. Jaelen Strong, wide receiver, Arizona State
8. Jalen Collins, cornerback, LSU
9. T.J. Clemmings, offensive lineman, Pittsburgh
10. Eric Kendricks, linebacker, UCLA
11. Jake Fisher, offensive lineman, Oregon
12. Devin Smith, wide receiver, Ohio State
13. Preston Smith, edge defender, Mississippi State
14. Eric Rowe, cornerback, Utah
15. Owa Odighizuwa, edge defender, UCLA
16. Maxx Williams, tight end, Minnesota
17. Carl Davis, defensive lineman, Iowa
18. Denzel Perryman, linebacker, Miami
19. Ronald Darby, cornerback, Florida State
20. Mario Edwards Jr., defensive lineman, Florida State
21. Donovan Smith, offensive lineman, Penn State
22. A.J. Cann, offensive lineman, South Carolina
23. Tevin Coleman, running back, Indiana
24. Jordan Phillips, defensive tackle, Oklahoma
25. Benardrick McKinney, linebacker, Mississippi State
26. Quinten Rollins, cornerback, Miami (OH)
27. Danielle Hunter, edge defender, LSU
28. Grady Jarrett, defensive lineman, Clemson
29. Duke Johnson, running back, Miami
30. D’Joun Smith, cornerback, Florida Atlantic
31. Rashad Greene, wide receiver, Florida State
32. Kevin Lockett, wide receiver, Kansas State

Jalen Collins, Eric Rowe, Devin Smith, AJ Cann, Jake Fisher, Danielle Hunter, Ameer Abdullah, and Jaquiski Tartt are all players that I would love if the Pats drafted today.

McKinney and Cann stand out to me as people we realistically have a shot at.

Rashad Greene IMO is better than a few WRs drafted yesterday (Agholor, Perriman, Dorsett). I have him as a mid-first round caliber WR.

Why do I share my nutty binky ranking you ask? I had Jimmy G #10 last year and BB gave me one of the best draft memories on day 2 when we took him.

Comeon Bill, do it again at 64 today! :D

Big Board for pick 64

1. Rashad Greene
2. Ali Marpet
3. Ameer Abdullah

I'm really not a fan of the tier 2 CBs, besides Olomu who may be done with his injury. So I hope Butler is ready to break out or In BB we trust if he tries again at a round 2 corner.

While I don't rank Greene as high as you do, I agree he would make a lot of sense for the Pats at 64. My preference though would probably be AJ Cann

Definitely hoping for a guard and a cornerback to be drafted today. A.J. Cann and Ali Marpett are my top two remaining guards, and at CB Jalen Collins, Eric Rowe, Quentin Rollins, Ronald Darby, P.J. Williams, and Josh Shaw are options. Not sure if any of those guys are going to fall to our pick in the 3rd round though.

Duke Johnson and AJ Cann

(1)AJ Cann.
(2)Duke (if it's with the comp pick - less so if it's with pick 64).

Jaelen Strong or AJ Cann. I don't think Strong will last long today, but he would represent highway robbery sometime after #55. Ditto Jalen Collins. I've never heard the name Jaelen/Jalen before. Now I've got two in one post. Strange.

O-line or CB please. I won't be too shocked to see a RB either. Anything else will be a bit puzzling, but in BB we trust per usual.

And I'm not even going to attempt to pick any players because I had Brown going at least top 25 and he fell to the Pats so anything can happen.

i like your list, especially Cann , Collins and Rowe. I would add Nate orchard to it.

I really don't agree that we need any EDGE or DL prospects in the next few rounds, we are now stacked.

We need a OG, CB, WR, RB (must be able to catch) and LB (coverage skills essential)

with our second round pick: Donovan Smith, offensive lineman, Penn State

I don't know anything about him, but his name sounds like something a winner would be named.

Correction to the original poster, the Pats have two second round picks. I think he forgot that the Pats got the 51st pick in the trade with Houston for the 32nd pick that the Pats used to draft Malcom Brown.

I don't see Cann falling to us at 64, but that would make me ecstatic. Also like RB David Johnson from UNI in that 96-101 cluster.

I see the Patriots moving up tonight for a CB...or at least I hope they do. The situation is critical. Once the run starts on CBs, and it is overdue, it is white-knuckle time in the Patriots draft room.

I'm hoping for a few jaw dropping no name selections that turn out fantastic

Love Jaelen Strong, was hoping we would take him at #32, but with Brown still available they made the smart move. I doubt he would be there at 64, would have to trade up. Not even sure they like him. AJ Cann would be a great pick at 64. Then would love Sammie Coates and Duke Johnson in the 3rd round. I think their will be a run on receivers again in rounds 2 and 3.

I do not see Strong as a fit at all in this offense. He relies too much on winning jump ball situations and his route running is not nearly as polished as some of the other options in this draft (like Dezmin Lewis, for example). I think Strong is a much better fit in an offense like Baltimore's.
