Revis Signs with NYJ

Anyone else worried about Chung now?

No way we get anything of consequence for the tampering. Everyone thinks Woody is such an idiot, I believe he knew exactly what he was doing, and kept doing it through the media afterward because he knew there would be no consequences.

So if everyone thought BB was an idiot the Pats wouldn't have gotten hammered for CameraPlacementGate?

Someone remind me... What was Revis' passer rating? Because it's obvious that the Jest are going to expect and need him to play QB with that contract

Doesn't this tweet signify that the Jets were talking to Revis at least a day early?

So the Rats are one of the teams the league should have notified about discussing contracts during the legal tampering period?

So that means the NFL will be reviewing their communications?

I'd be stunned if the Rats are in the NFL's crosshairs.

Those of you not including Malcolm Butler in your secondary projections need to pony up for the NFL FILMS BluRay and check out the super slo mo high def footage of three unbelievable pass defense plays he made in the final minutes of the SuperBowl. A fourth (the intentional trip of an open receiver was not included. Two awesome pass defenses against Kearse and the interception. Kid's a keeper.

For all we know Belichick may consider Butler a starter and deemed Revis expendable (especially for the money he wanted). I'm kind of excited, now we have some money to fool around with. I'm fascinated to see what Belichick has up his sleeve.

That's a lot of money......enough for a 30 year old that makes it real hard to justify......

**** him. Thanks for the ring. Go back to chasing the almighty dollar. "That" will be his legacy. "I'm coming home".?, Don't let the door hit you in the ass. I guess one ring was enough.

Congratulations to the Jets! You just bought a Bentley to park outside in the elements next to your double-wide trailer.

At least we can all take solace in the fact that he is so loved by the Jest that they let it come to pass that he helped their rival win a championship... Only to take him back on an over the top contract.

To put this in relationship terms:

It's like letting your girlfriend go free to explore other options, she then proceeds to get knocked up by your worst enemy, only to then beg her to come back and buy her a new house, car, wardrobe, and have to take care of your enemy's kid,.....even though looking at him just reminds you of her betrayal.

For the rest of his Jets career it will be a main talking point that he got his SB ring with the pats. At least twice per year it will be brought up during a game. I know this because people like collinsworth et al are anything but original. And there will be no display at the HOF without at least 1 picture of him playing the SB in a pats uniform.

Hey Jets... Thanks for Lombardi #4! We couldn't have done it without your help....lol

The Patriots will have thought through contingency plans for this very event. They're not fans with an emotional attachment and over investment in players.

The Pats will be fine and although it sucks to lose a player of Revis' caliber, I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with all this fresh, new cap space.

I'd be very interested at a peek @ that contingency plan. It's not like good corners are growing on trees in this league. I like Malcolm Butler a lot but he isn't ready for primetime. Logan Ryan is a jag imo. Arrington is a slot guy. The answer isn't on the roster in my opinion, so do we draft his replacement and hope in 2 years they are ready or FA signing? The latter will likely be overpriced and not as good as Talib let alone Revis.

So PATS now have 14M Cap to use plus they could free up more. Time to move on from Revis and
see what they can do in FA to improve the team. DM is back. Suppose they improve their pass rush
and add FA DB or two and improve the offense with someone like AJ, bring Connolly back and pick up
an upgrade to Wendell. BB is not done and you know he has a plan.
Be positive ... look for the good things PATS can now do with the CAP they now have.

My hope is it involves bringing in a couple of decent corners and upgrading the front 7. A ruthless front 7 makes secondaries look better than what they are.

Actually, his legacy will be the best DB of his era, a first ballot hall of famer, and Super Bowl champion, but whatever gets you through the night without wetting your Pats jammies.

Revis is 100% worth it. Still playing at highest level we have seen in a long long time...
