Sign the Beast XI: WR Andre Johnson wants to play with a great QB...Hey, Andre, I know a guy...

A lot of you probably don't know but Percy Harvin has raw elite talent. He was the number 1 player in the country out of H.S. His talent was unreal. Yea there have been some red flags with his character, but I don't mind his addition to the team if that were to happen

He wasn't asked to do that in Seattle from what I recall and definitely not in college. Not saying he can't do it, but it's something that I haven't seen from him.

That being said, if there ever was a skillset that would flourish in this offense, it's Percy's. All the short passes we run, the schemes to get the ball in space to our receivers, Percy would be scary as hell for defenses.

As far as a 3rd down back, I've seen Helu's name pop up. Living in DC, I've seen quite a few Redskins game and Helu is extremely underrated.

Helu is amuch better runner than Vereen, bigger, stronger and faster (even shiftier) and has similar receiving skills to Vereen. I'd be happy if we sign him if we don't get Vereen back.

well it was just reported andre Johnson and frank gore are on their way to INDY

Yep. Indy should be loading up on defense now in the draft. If they don't they are idiots.

Who doesn't know about his talent? It is literally the only reason he's enticing.

The fact that he's failed to produce for 80% of his career and is an apparent stage 4 headcase shipped off from 3 different teams in 2 seasons are why people are iffy about signing this guy.

It was also reported that Andre is currently going to be working out in Miami as well so until it's all settled nobody knows what is up. Ask current Eagle, er, Colt Frank Gore?

Vereen had only 96 carries last year, and that was his career high. I certainly understand people's hesitation about where to pay Harvin. He's not really a pure WR, and he's not a pure RB. He's like Hernandez, in the sense of legitimately being a hybrid guy.

All things being equal Cousin, I can see the Pats with this weapon and a Team friendly incentive laden contract. One screw up and he is out. Some see this as Curran points out, as redundant. Nyet! A five wideout set with him included is a panic situation for opposing DCs. He can take some return pressure off JE.

You will not see the Pats test the water for days as we all know by now so this is excruciating!.

Some "IRATHERS*":
Irather Bush than Helu because RB still can carry the rock a little better.

Irather Bush than Vereen (see above)

Irather Andre Johnson than Harvin because the receptions will be higher(although Harvin is younger and more versatile)

Irather Johnson than Wayne but it appears BB likes Wayne.

Some two cents Irathers:

Irather "Trade" Mayo and get something for him now if he passes a physical. Love him but Collins and Hightower are outplaying him. CAP is way too high.

Irather Ayers than Sheard. We know what Ayers can do and if Hightower is mending, Ayers would seem logical. That being said Sheard would be a great pick up maybe even if we can keep Ayers.

Irather G Clint Bolling than take a chance on a new Rookie starting Guard to "protect TB". Very under-the-radar BB type pick. 25 years old!

Irather G/C Wisniewski than Bolling because or C/G/T versatility. He is 26.......again think of Rookie Guard against a Suh.

Irather CB Chris Culliver than anything the Pats have at CB after Browner and Revis. 15 PBU are more than Revis. Let's hope he is not a fall back on either. 25 years old. 6' and 202lbs so he is not small.

Irather take a gamble on NT Raji if VW is gone for good. Cheaper than many alternatives and still only 28.

Irather they utilize TE Tim Wright (why not?) but if not, pick up Jordan Cameron on the cheap with medical outs, or Housler. Can't recall AH blocking that much. They have a move TE but why not use him.

*Irather means nothing but a thought and idea.

Ah. The old "but he looks like a football player" excuse! :p

AJ is still a beast, he would be an amazing option for TFB. Look what happened to Lafell, that was quite unexpected but AJ is an upgrade and can work outside with him. AJ has elite hands, route-running ability and is quiet. Bring him in.

weei said patriots were intrested in aj

I think all of the reports about who is interested in him are misunderstandings from his brothers tweet last night about who he wants Andre to play for.

We do fit the profile though, it would appear.

Andre Johnson's first visit was with the Colts. 7 other teams interested. Taking it one day at a time I'm told sorting through things

Johnson could be this year's Steve Smith

Please go after him, Bill

I am sure Andre Johnson can still Catch a pass or two on Mevi$.
