How do you think Welker feels ?

Wes was arguably my second favorite player while he was here. He also enjoyed being the class wise-ass to the teacher from time to time while here. He made his own bed and I believe he went to Denver for many reasons, not the least of which was to give his former teacher a huge middle finger. Well, sometimes when you let things get too personal that middle finger ends up digitally inserted in your own anal cavity.

Wes will probably get int the Patriots HOF one day, and deservedly so. Time to make peace.

From what I have been hearing he might not have a choice in returning to the Bronco's. So if he does decide to try to play this season, it will probably be for another team.

If he feels bad, he feels bad about the SB losses that he had while members of a team that played in the game. I would bet that he does not feel bad about the Patriots winning this year. He is probably happy for his former teammates who are still his friends.
To those still holding his leaving against him, let it go. In the end it didn't matter, did it?

Meh, Ty Law went to the Jests and we forgave him eventually. Drew Bledsoe went away mad but now he is solidly back in the fold. Time heals all wounds or wounds all heels, or something like that. I'm not that mad at Welker. As the question of the thread implies, he probably feels like crap right about now.
I think it can be said he did us and Edelman a favor. Dropping 1 crucial pass was enough and if Edelman has good people he can parlay his new found stardom with some lucrative off field endorsements ...

. What was that movie ....' A Star is Born'.

If amendola wasnt with the team next year would you sign welker for cheap to be a 3rd wr?

No
plus he wouldn't play for cheap $
He should retire for his well being
I don't want to see him concussed again, especially as a Patriot , not that he's coming here

Look, Welker was for the most part the heart of the receiving core for years. He was one of the main reasons for the Pats success for years. I feel a little sad that he missed out on this one. I also feel bad, that at age 33 he should consider retiring because of all the concussions.

Edelman, however, has been absolutely clutch.

Nailed it.

He should feel like **** for losing us the SB in 2011. We could have had 5 right now.

What a worthless loser he is/was.

I don't actually think your post was a 'winner', but I just wanted to be the one to ensure your post had every possible rating :)

He was not worthless, he was a key component of our offense for many years, who helped us reach the Super Bowls he played in. He played with heart, and never stopped working hard. Loved the guy, and only wish him well.

Stay

No. He really needs to hang them up. If he takes many more shots he's going to end up in a nursing home at 40.

it has got to eat Manning alive that he score 8 F***ing points on a Seattle team that was inferior to one that Brady score 28 on.
How do you figure they were better this year? Or at least in the Super Bowl with the injuries to their secondary?

I still wanna know: did The Receiver run the wrong route, or did Brady throw in the wrong direction?

Not sure who was at fault but it was not a good throw to a guy who wasnt known for having a huge radius.

Also, I want to throw something out there. I see a lot of people saying WW left us. True he could have taken the 2 year deal (or in hindsight the better 3 year one prior) and a lot of this is his agent because lets face it WW is no scholar and I am sure his agent was the brains of that duo - but here is my point.

I see a lot of whining that Danny Amendola is no where near is salary and according to his reg season stats that is true regardless of that fact that I put a lot of emphasis on playoffs but that is another discussion.

My point, So Danny is only worth a million to some here or probably 2 mil more realistic. Many here go by last seasons stats (naturally) and I suppose factor some future hedge betting.

What was WW really worth if we go by those same standards? He was a top 5 NFL receiver at the time. Diddn't the Pats lowball him given the standards many of you use to determine value? Yes, he was 32 and it was in hindsight possibly the right move (we will not know) but he did go to a new system and new QB who IMO does not have the short game touch that TB did nor could have PM and WW had the chemistry that WW and TB did.

So which is it? The typical standards apply or was it a legit lowball situation?

Like Curtis Martin?

Seattle's defense wasn't hurt last year...I'd say their defense was inferior for the SB vs last year...but it doesn't matter.....Patriots won!
