Tim Hasselback :Peyton Manning still the greatest QB of all time.

This quote was shocking to me.

Well, he just sums up right there his whole sorry "career" and why he was a complete failure as a QB. There it is, right there. How anyone can take anything he says seriously is a mystery.

"Tim hasselback had the lowest possible single-game passer rating (0.0) in a 27–0 loss to the Dallas Cowboys." (In 2003)

Wow. This guy started his "career" about the same time as Brady. He is about the same age. He's just jealous.

He's a freaking Hasselback. Case closed.

It's like a highschool art teacher saying Picasso was better than Da Vinci

Yeah, but he forgot to mention that when Peyton has dreams, he thinks he's Tom Brady!!!!

But, this debate will be good for all time, but really Hasselbacks opinion won't be uncommon; and I believe it will ultimately be in the minority

I don't know nuthin' about Peyton's dreams (and don't want to), but this is not a debate that "will be good for all time." I think that putting Manning in the mix of the discussion for GOAT is simply a product of our own time and Peyton's omnipresence in the media.

Back in the day, people used to argue seriously whether Marino or Montana were greater, but, after a couple of decades, Marino is now a footnote to any discussion of GOAT. The same will happen to Peyton.

There were several reasonable discussions of GOAT among the mediots yesterday and they all came down to comparing Brady and Montana with a few inclusions of Unitas. Those who are objective and understand the game (i.e., not people like Hasselwhatever) agree that there is now little daylight between Brady and Montana and that you probably can't leave Unitas out of the discussion. Ultimately, that's the point to which the discussion will evolve...

I don't care if someone thinks player A is better than player B but ever notice how the ones who come out in defense are the least secure in their own legacy? Tim has to mention that he played the position every 2 seconds because he knows that he couldn't hold either player's jock strap so his only "I know more" is to tell everyone he played. Otherwise, he would be laughed out of most conversations.

Trent Dilfer proved that you don't need to be a great QB to win a Super Bowl, you just need to manage the game well.

Therefore he "changed the game" and logically must be the greatest QB of all time. :)

TJ: Otto Graham needs some mention here for going to 9 straight championship games and winning 7. Yes, he died before most of us were born, and he played before the Super Bowl era. Graham was the Bill Russell of his time and the best of his day.

Hasselbacks old man needs to slap some sense into him. He's already tolerating a daughter-in-law who's dumber than a brick.

This kinda stuff used to annoy me

After #4? Say what you want it really doesn't matter lol

Well Tim does wipe Peytons behind with his nose, so you gotta give him the benefit of the doubt
Actually watching the gif in your signature line is very apropos for this thread....the way Gronk throws whatsisface outta the club there?
Not unlike the way TB has thrown Payme outta the GOAT discussion.....

I'm Practically New to this Sport. Only been Watching NFL Since i have been living in the States ( 4.5 Years) But Have Loved the Patriots a lot Longer.
And i Know That that is Complete ********! That Wanker Couldn't See the Greatest of all If it Slapped him in his Smug Face. Sorry Rant over lol ;)
Welcome to the States and Patriots Nation!

"Peyton has won a superbowl"

a.

I listened to the interiew yesterday. He didn't say Manning was the best ever, IIRC, he said if he could choose Manning or Bradys career he would take Peytons. Admittedly it was a dumb argument and he kept referencing how he was a QB in the NFL. His "career" consisted of holding a clipboard as he got passed from team to team.

Manning will always be hurt by the 9 one and done.My problem is the excuses they make for this guy year in and year out.
Can u imagine if brady had sanders to go with edelman and gronk? Yikes
