This is why I can't stand Schefter sometimes. He does this type of crap to boost his name. Seriously, what kind of redundant report is this? I'm pretty damn sure every team with a ton of salary cap would pursue Revis. Secondly, Revis is only a FA if the Patriots let him walk. Third, why report this on game day?

Schefter's usually solid, but, everyone know this thanks to the owner. So he had to put this news out on Super Bowl Sunday?

Except he isn't a free agent to be. Pats would have to decline the option for him to be a free agent. Sloppy reporting by Schefter.

They'll get to it after they finish investigating Deflategate, Browns texting, Falcons piping in crowd noise, hiring a new Bones McCoy and planning the next X-Mas party.

So are we saying that the Jets and Bills are tampering with Revis?

I don't think that Revis wants to go back to NY now that Rex is gone. I think Buffalo has a better shot at him than the Jets do if the money is equal.

I still think Revis stays with the Pats. I think he likes it here and I think he is more concerned about his legacy than trying to get a few extra million. I don't think think he wants to be known as a mercenary anymore.

Somebody should inform Capt Obvious that Revis' free agency status is still very much TBD...

No, I believe it was mentioned during the Superbowl played in 1997 as well.

If Schef is talking out of his ass, then it's pretty sad.

If Schef has an inside source from either team, that has to be considered tampering if they're leaking it through a media source to publish their interest in him.

Either way, the NFL should investigate because he is not a free agent to be as others have pointed out.

If the Pats had gotten word out to Revis and his agent they would give him a nice deal while the Bucs were still negotiating with him before cutting him, there would have been a month-long "investigation" from the league filled with lots of unprofessional leaks, questioning of legacies, blah blah blah.

But the Jets owner can flat out say in front of the world that he is interested and there's nothing in the news? Maybe because there should be nothing to investigate? It's on tape, millions of people saw it. Maybe it was mailed to the league and Goodell didn't see it because someone lost it. I don't ****ing know anymore.

Why the hell would he want to go back to that dumpster fire in the first place?
