On the other hand, two days after the bogus Walkthroughgate, well, you know... :(

Well, we now have two weeks before the SB.

So, I would go with goheels results that looked at the games a week and two weeks after the story.

Hope that makes you feel better. :)

so sorry we're gonna hear this for the next two weeks or so.

How could we be fined without there actually being real evidence the Patriots deflated balls?
It isn't going to happen. This is a nothing story and this is a nothing thread.

agree completely

but it is the Pats and the NFL hates us so it will not go away that easy.

Sorry if this comes out harsh, but I feel compelled.

just for a little while.

I think some of you here are looking for a scapegoat towards which to spit vitriol at because you are embarrassed by this news. Let me be clear. I am not accusing BB or the Pats of anything here. I'm simply stating my opinion. That it wouldn't surprise me, and yes that I think it's possible, and that yes I believe us to be capable. But I am not saying that they did or didn't do anything because nobody knows at this point.

That's MY opinion and that's my viewpoint. I have had this viewpoint for years, and it's never stopped me from being a Pats fan or supporting the team. I don't HAVE to be a blind homer fan that thinks we are saints, that we are always the victims of the NFL's harsh punishments, that we do no wrong, that we have no dirt, and that we would never cheat, and that when we do, it's not really cheating. So if you guys can't handle this viewpoint, that's fine, I'll refrain from speaking it.

But I'm not the one breaking this news, or accusing the Pats of anything. And I also believe I'm more mentally prepared for whatever the outcome of this situation. What I'm not prepared for is to try to have logical, conversations, for them to degenerate into personal insults or vitriol. So if you can't handle a difference in viewpoint, then continue to have it all you guys want without me.

Total BS. Take your beating like a man. We could have played with a soccer ball and still kicked the colts ass. The NFL should be investigated for incompetence.

It'll disappear as soon as something definitive comes out of the league office. They're going to be forced to come out with something and fast. It's on every major news outlets radar and it's not going to go away or become a back story for the next 2 weeks.

Does the league really want this to be the main topic for the next 13 days before the biggest event of this 100 billion dolar plus enterprise? The integrity of their product? This would be a fine time to come out and tell everyone theirs nothing to it and quickly move on. Your job is definately on the line now Rog.

The best thing they can do is come out and exhonerate the Patriots and sweep it under the rug to deflect the scrutiny of their operational defeciencies. To not do so we'll be to their peril and detriment, and guess who will be the ultimate fall guy? Roger should understand his legacy will be disgraced if he goes hard on this one.

Suspend a wife beater for 2 games, suspend guys for pot and than what, hammer a team over some air in a football?. He'll look a fool. Again.

My uncle is a Colts fan. He was totally convinced by what he was hearing in the media that the Patriots cheated in that game.

But I took some time to discuss it with him, showed him the facts, the fiction, etc and now he knows the media is just blowing up something that wasn't a big deal in the 1st place. Feel kinda good about that. :D lol
what facts did you show him? I gotta have these ready...

wait wait.....sports jounalism isnt real reporting. just clickable bait.

Hell, the NFL's own website is using the first moron's tweets from last night to write up about this 'indecent'. The whole thing is incredible. The refs aren't interviewed. The league officials aren't interviewed. Goodell hasn't given any details (shocker).

One day we'll all watch another sports franchise have dominate success and get tore down by those that hate them. Watch as social media puts a microscope on every detail of every moment of every game. The Patriots only sin: they are good during the ESPN.com/ Mike Florio/ Twitter era of sports reporting.

"Deflate-gate" has gone mainstream now. Foxnews, CNN, Good Morning America. Now Inside Edition is interviewing some has-been WR about the advantage of deflated balls in the rain. Oh boy.

more poster material for the next two weeks. Bring it on. I want Brady and BB pumped up ove this.

Embrace the hate

From the espn article,
On the first offensive play from scrimmage in the third quarter, following a kick return, referee Walt Anderson briefly stopped play to replace a football which could have been related to this issue.

No one bothered to ask Walt Anderson about this? Isn't that what real journalists do?

I think it was said during the broadcast that a K ball was being used, thus the stoppage

It's well known that the team had terrible practices and was extremely tense heading into that game. That had more to do with pressure of winning than any stupid comments or bs about spygate.

You have over 50 posts in this thread alone.

Your "Yes, it was cheating" pretenses are as disruptive and insensitive here as any troll.

And it all reeks of stirring the pot in my opinion.

Ok you are justifying the last time he blatantly cheated as not cheating, but he did exactly that. It was a means to a win. That's what it was. And it did end up tarnishing his reputation as far as public perception goes.

I'm justifying it too. Except mine is more blunt. It just makes logical sense, imo. There is nothing to lose except some hypocritical fans whining about another team cheating, when they all do it. Perception and image. Something that is already tarnished anyway.

That is the ONLY real thing at stake here. Nothing else. And I don't think BB gives a **** about that. Profits will go up. Wins will get counted. Trophies will be handed out. Players will make more money. There is no legal repercussion. The NFL's own repercussions, aren't severe enough to deter it.

You want to believe he is accidentally and innocently cheating, and making errors in judgments...and I find it easier to believe it's like everything else we know about him, meticulously calculated and carefully planned. He's not a ****ing idiot. He knows what he is doing.
This post is SO wrong on SO many levels that I'm worn out just guessing how anyone who watches the NFL game -- and purports to know ANYTHING about how cameragate unfolded -- can arrive at such misguided opinions. Furthermore: :mad::eek:o_O. That about sums you up.

they still won't name the "source" ha yeah....
