Harbaugh keeps using the word "DECEPTION" during his Press conference

During all this deception, what was Terell Suggs doing? He's the D captain. Either Suggs or Smith (or whoever called the signals) should have figured out the eligible and ineligible receivers and informed the other defensive players.

They just ran a segment on ESPN with an old head of officials who kept repeating that the Patriots did everything right according to the rule book. Even calling it trickery not deception. So, Bill used the rule book on the national stage to raise the one finger salute in the same week that the former Competition Committee CZAR called him Belicheat !!!

COINCIDENCE ????

He did not say it was an 'illegal type thing'. You're making that up out of whole cloth. He did say they Pats were exploiting a shortcoming of the rules, which may or may not be true, but is not illegal or even a bad thing to do.
So basically the crux of what you are saying is that the Pats ran a play in alignment with the rules...the refs made the right call by not throwing a flag, and the Ravens HC is complaining because they have never seen it before???!!...Oh what a controversy!!!

I mean how dare the Pats have the audacity to do something the Ravens weren't ready for???!!!

I don't think this was on the trick play, correct? Because I recall Harbaugh getting this penalty on the drive right after Baltimore made it 28-14 which was before the Edelman TD throw. This was on the drive before that one.

Anyway, Harbaugh comes off like such a baby. Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it's not FAIR.

That's a misquote of Harbaugh. I watched his press conference. He didn't say it was illegal. He called it trickery. He called it deception. He said the competition comittee might look into it. But he explicitly did not say it was illegal. And no, I'm not a Ravens fan.
Matters not if it was an accurate quote by the writer. I didn't make it up, which you accused me of doing. Are you always quick on accusations?

I apologize for saying you made it up. The writer who wrote the piece made it up. I objected to it because I'd like it if we won with a bit of class, unlike some of the other festering sewers other teams forums are (jetsinsiders, I'm looking at you). Harbaugh is a douche and he was clearly trying to make it seem as though the Pats had pulled some sort of cheap trick. But he never said they did anything illegal, in fact, he was pretty explicit that it was within the rules.

Not sure what other accusations I've been quick on.

Babies gonna cry.

Those are the facts of life.

Perhaps Harbaugh would like Belichick to diagram the play on a whiteboard for him before the snap?

Him and his equally douchebaggy brother are two of the most obnoxious whiners in sports. STFU. Golf up Son!

Losing sucks, in general, and I imagine, for the professionals, losing a close playoff game has to be hard to take. So, when I first heard his comments, I was prepared to give Harbaugh a bit of the benefit of the doubt when I first heard his comments.

Then I remembered the multiple times he's made unprompted negative comments about the Patriots in the past. When the Saints bounty case was unfolding, he was asked about and, instead of saying something about New Orleans, started talking about how the Patriots championships were tarnished. There was also a situation where Ed Reed had a rotator cuff injury, but hadn't been listed on the injury report. Harbaugh pointed to perceived irregularities in New England's injury reporting.

In short, Harbaugh's a weasel and I'm glad he's coming off as a petty excuse maker for making these comments. His team can't lose enough for my liking.

Maybe I blinked and missed something, but I could have sworn that Vereen went over to Vinovich immediately to report as ineligible. I could have also sworn that the Pats didn't huddle up on that play. Did I miss the huddle?

His contention is it seems that ineligible players need to be announced before they go in the huddle just like eligible players are. At least thats what he is getting at. Pats just exploited it perfectly and I expect the rules committee to introduce this rule in the offseason

But according to Matt Chatham, Vereen was announced, so Harbaugh really doesn't have a leg to stand on with that claim..

Did anyone see the Refs not allow the Ravens to make substitutions? Is he complaining about the too many men on the field penalty or the Vereen reporting as ineligible?? I'm pretty sure the Pats and Ravens had both huddled up at that point and were getting set when the one guy realized he wasn't supposed to be on the field..

As for the Vereen play, I'm certain I saw Vereen report to Vinovich without going to the huddle. And there is nothing in the rule books that says that the Refs have to allow further subs for the defense based on the report of eligible/ineligible receiver.

you know whats deception? when the ravens defense loaded one side of the line with linebackers and showed blitz and had some back off once the ball was snapped. how the f are we supposed to know who to block?!

This is why the Ravens are a dumb organization.

Before the game: yap yap yap yap FLACCO DA GOAT
After the loss: whine whine whine whine YOU OUT SCHEMED ME

The funny thing is the more harbaugh talks the more ignorant he sounds. It's pretty simple if Vereen is declared ineligible and is on one side of the line the only person who could be eligible would be the last player on the opposite side.. So him complaining that they need time and were confused shows that him and his staff are clueless.. If Vereen declares himself ineligible it should take you two seconds to see where he lines up look at the other end and say oh there is the eligible receiver.
