Kight re-signed

The Patriots announced the re-signing of receiver Kelvin Kight today. Kight was an exclusive rights free agent. His re-signing was an expected move.

Kight, 24, initially joined the team as a free agent last July. He spent 13 weeks on the practice squad before being activated to the active roster. Kight played in the team's final four regular-season games and two playoff contests.

The 6-foot, 213-pound Kight finished last season with one reception and four special teams tackles.

Finally, some big news.

I don't get it, but I guess at this point it can't hurt.

He's exclusive rights, so it was more or less an automatic move that had already been decided when he signed the 1-year deal.

(It wasn't like the Pats sat down and said "Do we want to really re-sign Kelvin Kight?")

After being without power for 52 hours at my house, this news really makes my day.

All wide receivers all the time.

As Derrick Coleman would say: Whoop-de-damn-do.

Four STs' tackles in four games...:woohoo: He should still have Practice Squad eligibility too.

i don't know who to root for to make the roster...Kelvin or Bam...kelly washington is supposedly a good ST player so one of these guys might be out of their job---practice squad??

good news , although expected

Most likely both will be out of their jobs. Another receiver will be out of his job if Troy comes back. Yet another will be if Jackson is healthy.

The pizza throwing Pats fan at Fenway sucked up all the attention away for Kight.
