now that he is playing man-man almost all game. We see how good he really is. And then there is this:

@MikeGiardi: Revis breaking down plays with Logan Ryan postgame. His football IQ is off the charts #patriotstalk

So good for the younger guys in the room

Yeah we need to lock him down. I have a lot of confidence on 3rd downs with him around.

I never waivered. I maintained that he remains the best in the game, even after the injury and hiatus in Tampa. He's a difference maker. He runs routes for the receiver. LOL He's more than shutdown. He's brilliant. I think I will cry if the Pats don't find a way to lock him up. Someone get Ty Law in his ear ASAP.

Ty Law already in his ear. And they went to the same high school...

No choice but to extend him.

Its a must. They have no choice.

And they have the $$ to do it with him and McCourty. Hope it happens. Don't want the old days where i was worried about BOTH sides of the field

Of course he was. A shutdown corner is worth every penny. Glad the Patriots saw fit to give him $12M this year. Hope they get it worked out for a long term contract.

Agreed,Revis is a blue chip part of the defence, hands down.Like this guy in a Pats uni.......

If they were still using him in that BS zone i would have jumped off a cliff...but i am still here so the let Revis be Revis...and good things happen when that happens

Great job today even though Watkins is just a rookie. Revis did what he was supposed to do. In years past without Revis, it's a good chance Watkins would've had 3 TDs and 150 yards today. I can't wait to see him go against Marshall, Nelson, Megatron, D Thomas and re-establish himself as the best CB in the game while Sherman struggles in Seattle.

Also, that one pass (near TD) Revis gave up to Watkins was thanks to a massive hold on Buffalo that went uncalled

Megatron is currently hurt and I could see him not making the pats game as 100% healthy.

You're right. The game is in 5 weeks though. I think he'll be back near 100% by the time we play Detroit.

With his ankle injury, even if he does get 100% healthy, one wrong step, plant or just tweak of that ankle can really aggravate it. He could be, but it's also so easy to keep aggravating that injury.

I agree. but that's far out.

I am worried about eric decker..have no idea how revis will cover him...

There was some zone played yesterday. There will always be some zone played, but you're right overall. Just let Revis lock up and do his thing. You can't lose versatility and your ability to mix it up just because Revis is so great in man, though. You still need to mix it up, especially when you play guys like Manning and Rodgers. Even a guy like Stafford can light you up if you show him the same look over and over.

This will be Classic seein Revis goin up against Geno/Vick, Jets.
He gets 2 INTs, one for a TD.

Does DET play CIN before then? Vontaze Burfict will be sure to get a close look at Johnson's ankle if they do.
