sling box sounds like some underage hooker in a Bangkok whore-bar...

festy...my advice...quit that friggin' job...it's your MAN-ifest destiny to watch YOUR team in YOUR recliner surrounded by YOUR chilled shrimp, chips and suds.

tp prove my point, when you're working this shift next week, call your boss at home and see what you hear in the background. I godamned bet it's the freakin' game....

I can hook you up with a steam with sem-decent quality if you msg me.

a steam?..bath? that's so 70's man...but if it includes a bevy of geisha nymphs treading up and down my spime, I'm IN!

I have a slingbox at my parents house back up in CT. They added airplay so now I can just play it through the Apple TV which is much easier than using the laptop/HDMI route.

Anyone know of a site for NFL coverage maps? I used to used 506 but they don't seem to be working.

Ya give them a little bit of time some of the markets that don't have local teams are probably still deciding on what they are showing at 1PM.

My local FOX has the Giants as the local team and they are playing Monday and when I looked yesterday they still didn't have which game they were showing listed

Look, I understand...whatever gets you involved is good. I'm an old dog. That means the 80 inch LED TV with a cable connection that has NFLN and Red Zone. When I watch the games I want most to be like a fat turtle ensconced in my leather recliner with a remote in one hand and my other hand either holding a liquid refreshment or a hors d'oeuvres (preferably chilled jumbo shrimp/lobster tails).

I used to frequent crowded sports bar/restaurants when I was in my 30's and 40's but a funny thing happened when I hit 50. I got real cheap about giving other people my money. Plus, I can play clicker God in my own home, so I don't have to tip the snotty bartender to get a channel change for the late game.

Anyway, I think it should be law that if you are a proven Patriot fan living in New England, you should get all pertinent Sunday games off to watch at your leisure. Of course that's if I ruled the world, which fortunately for the rest of you, I don't.

Truer words have never been spoken. I couldn't even imagine...

;)

I know but that's not the point. The point is I wanna access my cable through my phone since I won't be home. I shouldn't need to pay for that. Not when wifi is in just every Sq inch of this country.

Sorry for not understanding earlier. I see what you're getting at. I've never accessed the basic/local channels though my phone, but I've done it with the Sunday Ticket. Of course there's an app for that, so it's basically fool-proof for idiots like myself.

I'd just play around a bit with it. If worst comes to worst, just give your provider a quick phone call and they may be able to walk you through it. For my Comcast (cable) connection, we have an app as well--so maybe you do too for your dish provider?

Let us know how it turns out. I'm curious. Good luck, dude.

As PWP said, you're too early.
Let get all their info, and then they'll publish their maps.

In the meantime this may be of help: Click the little arrow thingy on the quote below for full details; too lengthy to re-post here.

Here is a look at what games for the Patriots that will and will not be available out of town. There are five prime-time games, and two other that will be available almost everywhere.

Zap2It.com just updated this morning showing Pats/Dolphins running on our local CBS (WCCO) here in Minneapolis opposite of the Vikings/Rams game on Fox (KMSP). I highly recommend looking now to see if they have updated the info for you.

I digress, but do any experienced Direct TV Sunday Ticket holders know if there is a reliable way to test the service prior to the game starting? I'd hate to be in the first quarter of the Miami game on the phone with DTV customer service trying to troubleshoot.

You could always quit your job.

I'm assuming the quality should be at least on par with the quality DTV offers on their Android app for live channel stremaing. Which means it should be serviceable.

I don't recall any from back when I had DTV. If this is your first time with the Sunday Ticket, one thing to remember: games that are shown locally in your area will not be available on the Sunday Ticket channels. You'll see a message that they are blacked out; don't freak out (like I did) when you see that. It simply means that if you want to watch that game, view it on your regular local channel rather than on the ST channel.

Well it's not like I care about the 1pm FOX game because I will be watching the Pats game.

For what it is worth, here is a rundown of what areas will be broadcasting the Pats game at Miami. Keep in mind individual stations could change to or from this game between now and Sunday.

Maine
New Hampshire
Vermont
Massachusetts
Rhode Island
Connecticut
Michigan
Wisconsin
Indiana
Illinois (except southern IL)
Texas
Louisiana
Mississippi
Alabama
Florida (except for Jacksonville-Daytona-Orlando)
Arizona
Utah
eastern Nevada (Las Vegas, but not Reno)
Oregon
Washington
two stations in North Carolina

Slightly surprised that the Carolinas are going with Cleveland at Pittsburgh rather than New England at Miami, but maybe there are a lot of Steelers fans migrated there when the steel mills closed down.

Greg Gumbel and Trent Green will be the announcers. That's this year's number one crew at CBS, indicating that the network considers the Pats-Dolphins to be their top game in week one. Not to derail this thread, but Green has to be an improvement over Dan Dierdorf.

Late game on Fox is San Francisco at Dallas, which will be broadcast everywhere except North Carolina, South Carolina, Tampa and Orlando.

I forgot that Dierdorf is done. Another reason to celebrate football being back!

Hope it's on in Tampa. We are always right on the edge.

Yes, it is.

Bucs are on late so they don't block the Pats game out.

The CBS affiliate in Tampa usually goes with Dolphins games. In many cases it works against seeing the Patriots, but in this case it works in our favor.

Maybe I should start a new thread, but from September 18 till November 4 I will be in SE Europe (Croatia 1 week, Sarajevo Sept 28, then Hungary, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey)

What works over there? How about Manila ( November 4 till Xmas or later)?

Last year some one gave me a link that worked well in Peru and Ecuador but I cannot remember it.
