I see us going 13-3 Unless our O-line improves a lot, the Lions are going to walk all over us. aaron rogers is going to play lights out, and the bengals are always a tough match for us for some reason.

I also added a couple of predictions about teams who will be losing head coaches, and the jets musical chairs at QB.

14-2 at worst,I wouldn't be surprised with 15-1 either.

That game won't be the Lions pre-season SB.
No but their DT's would badly abuse our interior OL if it's Wendell and Connolly starting again. Wendell's best hope would be to immediately drop to the ground, grab Suh's leg, and start screaming "LOOK OUT!" to Brady.

16-0 would not surprise me at all, especially if the team stays somewhat healthy and you throw in a good draft.

The only game there that stands out as a potential loss is @ Green Bay and then that depends on how their OL holds up. Always see 8-0 at home but there are some tough games there (Denver, Detroit, Cincinnati & Chicago) but those teams all have weaknesses that can be exploited.

And this is why I really wouldn't mind seeing OL with pick 29. They have to protect the franchise, especially at this point in his career. He was sacked the 2nd most times in his career last year (2001: 41).

Not a center, though. There isn't a center in this draft that is worth pick #29. They should be targetting those in rounds 2 and 3. Guard or a tackle conversion (like Mankins) is more likely.

13-3.

Losses vs. Jets, vs. Bears, vs. Broncos. Three home games in succession. Media in meltdown. Bye week.

Unbeaten after that all the way to the Superbowl (win vs. Giants).

Take it to the bank. ;)

Anyone going to any road game should join Patriots Tailgate to find out where we are buying tickets, tailgating at, what hotel we are staying at, etc.

I'll definitely be looking for you guys in Miami. I'll be there with my girlfriend, two other friends, and their girlfriends. Wish I could meet you out in San Diego but they scheduled that game too late.

I found this on another site. This should put a smile on some faces during this slow time:

Wow, the Chiefs haven't won a playoff game since Joe Montana. I would have never gotten that trivia question right off the top of my head. Surprising.

It looks like I'll be attending the following:

@ Miami
Oakland
Denver
Detroit

And dumping the rest to friends, family, co-workers and the ticket exchange.

I'm not crazy about the lack of 1/4pm home games during September/October :(

Oh well, these are very first world problems ;)

yeah thats why their loss to the colts last year was so crappy for them.

Right now I'm thinking 11-5 with 3 road divisional losses and @IND and @GB, but all of those are definitely winnable except maybe GB, and we could lose to DEN/KC/CIN/SD/someone else.

Interesting take. I usually pencil in a loss for one of the NYJ games but not @Mia or @BUF.

Some comments on the comments:

7. The schedule makers didn't do us any favors, but nothing really onerous. 11-5 would be an excellent result, 10-6 would be OK. Anything over 11 wins would be an exceptional regular season IMHO.
In the last 11 years, the Patriots have won
16 once
14 3 times
13 once
12 3 times
11 once
10 twice

How can you consider 11 excellent and 10 OK?
The worst year since 2002 would be OK? The second worst excellent?

Let's be realistic. I am happy with a 12-4 season. The schedule looks good for the team. But you're have count teams in the division are improving, they always play us tough.

Do they really though?
In the last 11 years, we are 53-13 vs the division. That is the equivalent of about a 13-3 season.
In the last 4 years, we are 20-4 which is even better.
I'm not sure why you think they are improving either.

In 11 years, we have won 12 or more games 8 times.
Perhaps the team is falling apart and you are right, but to be happy with 12 wins when we have achieved that or better 8 out of the last 11 years sounds pretty pessimistic and hardly the 'realistic' you are calling for.

Ballsy prediction that after losing 13 division games in 11 years and just 4 in the last 4 years, you expect 3 division losses this year.
It seems many fans expect this to be about the worst Patriot team in a decade, and declining from the last 4 years.
I thought they had improved.
