San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick is being investigated for a possible sexual assault at a hotel in Miami, Florida ... law enforcement sources tell TMZ Sports.
We're told the alleged incident took place at the Viceroy Hotel in Miami earlier this month.

Our sources tell us ... the investigation is in its "beginning stages" and no charges have been filed against anyone at this point.

We reached out to both Colin's agent and the San Francisco 49ers -- so far, no comment from either one.

Kaepernick doesn't appear to be fazed by the allegations -- he was out partying at a Miami nightclub early Sunday morning with a smile on his face.

Colin was at the Viceroy as recently as April 5th -- when he hung out with a wedding party near the pool at the hotel. People in the wedding party tell us Colin couldn't have been nicer and "made the bride's weekend."

Shocking!!!!!!!!!!!

After Edelman's "incident", I'll withhold any judgments until the details go through the process.

He is a punk; I knew it was only a matter of time before he had some type of legal issue. I would not be surprised at all to see the 49ers move up and draft a QB they have the means with all their choices and they may have had enough of Colin the $18M QB.

As much as I don't like Kaepernick, he is innocent until proven guilty. I'm not saying all sexual assault cases are false but, sometimes people lie in order to get a payday.

yes and it seem weird that only TMZ is reporting this.

Worth repeating no matter which way this goes

I for one hope it's false

If tats = criminal punk then half of NH will soon be arrested

My whole purpose of opening this thread was to remind people of the Edelman nonsense a few years back, I'm glad it was brought up in the first reply.

Just because Kaepernick looks like a punk doesn't make him one. Innocent until proven guilty, withhold your opinions you have based on his physical appearance, this stuff isn't something to joke around with because you don't like how he looks on TV.

I knew he'd eventually get tired of molesting his own biceps.

And, yes, innocent until proven guilty. He's just a jackass.

Found this over on a Chiefs board:

What was the Edelman nonsense?

I am on the camp that thinks that Kapernick is a bit overrated (above average to good QB, but not even close to 18m level). However, I do not think he would do something like that. However, he is also not a QB that would completely surprise me as I think it is a bit about the ego (I can do whatever I want) and from his pressers he seems to have a bit of an ego.

Not that there is any correlation but i follow Kaepernick on instagram and all i see from is him liking hot but mostly slutty girls instragram photos only. He doesn't like anything else and hes always one of the main likers that comes up on my stream.

Being a bit of creep on instragram is far from evidence against him in a sexual assault but I always used to think that Kaepernick is an awful creep lol.

There are no details on the case yet but I've a feeling the girl in question is an "instagram celebrity".

PFT has followup:

According to Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area, police have indicated that 49ers receiver Quinton Patton and Seahawks receiver Ricardo Lockette were involved, and that the incident happened at Lockette’s apartment in Miami.

It’s unclear at this point whether there will be any criminal charges or league-imposed discipline.

When you achieve Kapernickian status you need to avoid putting yourself in situations that can be questionable...

Put me in the camp of innocent until proven guilty.... until then it will be fodder for sportstalk radio.

What made him a punk before this investigation(If it's true)? Him not being white or the tats? Or is it the bicepts kissing that you think makes 49ers want to leave him?

Is he not white? I mean, I don't care, but I really don't know. My guess is... Persian?

I would withhold any judgment in any case involving pro athletes (or anyone else with deep pockets) until the story has been fully investigated. The fact that it happend in someone's apartment already makes me question the legitamacy of it.

I'm pretty sure Kaepernick hasn't been arrested, charged or even "alledged" to have done anything wrong before, so calling him a "punk" at this point is a little harsh.

And if liking slutty looking girls makes you a "punk" well then you can add me, the Kentucky Head Hunters, and about 9/10th of the rest of this board to the "punk" pile.

Edelperson was partying at a Boston nightclub dressed for Halloween. A girl and her date accused him of grabbing her inappropriately. He was arrested. Pats did nothing. The DA examined the many cameras throughout the club, found no such incident and dropped the accusations by the Jets fan couple. He was publicly exonerated.

From recollection. Others may have more details.

If this part is true, then they are all in trouble with the "former Jets employee":

UPDATE 1:31 p.m.: The alleged incident took place on April 1 at Ricardo Lockette’s apartment, police told The Sacramento Bee.

A woman went to the apartment and drank and smoked marijuana with the players, the police report said. She went to a bedroom, feeling lightheaded, and was joined by Kaepernick, “with whom she had a sexual relationship in the past.” Kaepernick left the bedroom and the two did not have sex, the woman said.

The woman woke up the next morning in a hospital bed, not recalling the events of the previous night, the report stated, according to The Bee. The woman reported the incident to police on April 3.

I dislike Peyton Manning, are you going to accuse me of being a racist for it?
