Re: If Chris Johnson is released?

I honestly think he would be a disaster here. You think Maroney was bad at dancing behind the line, Johnson could end up with negative yardage on the year (only a slight exaggeration). The Pats prefer more physical backs that can explode through the hole, not a finesse speed guy that can occasionally hit a home run.

Exactly, everyone has figure him out. He's afraid of contact and wants to bounce everything to the outside. I thought of Maroney when I saw this.

If Chris Johnson is released?

If he was really, really cheap, then sure. I'm not so sure that he's good, but he also hasn't been in an offense with a decent passing game in a long time, so he could be a pleasant surprise. Not worth it for any significant amount of money though, IMO.

I expect that he's get right around what Blount got on the open market, and frankly I prefer Blount.

Re: If Chris Johnson is released?

as long as Stevan Ridley dose not fumble he is all the pats need he has already shown that he can be a 300 att RB in 2012

Year four jump FTW.

Even if Ridley didn't have this fumbling problem that's gotten progressively worse, the Patriots would probably still be looking to replace him in the next year or two. He's just not a special player.

Re: If Chris Johnson is released?

The patriots have exactly ZERO running backs signed for 2015.

Re: If Chris Johnson is released?

Nah, I'd pass. To be honest, I would have much rather had Blount, than to be looking around for a FA running back.

Sign beast Kevin williams.

When we pick that deep outside threat WR, we will abandon the run game in its entirety.

Should the pats sign ohrnberger? Aka ohrnbust? It would give him a chance to rescind the bust label.

4th round picks who last 5 seasons (and counting) in the NFL are considered busts now?

It looks like the Raiders are shopping Denarius Moore for a 4th round pick. Any interest?

I think he could be a handy addition to the offense given his physical style of play and want to fight for the ball (despite the lack of numbers given the historic incompetence of the recent Raiders).

I doubt it from belichicks perspective. We have no third rounder, so I'm sure he's going to guard our 2 fourth rounders like gold. You know how he is with draft picks.

We have a third round pick. We don't have a fifth, though.

Cousin Aus. Wasn't that an old 2013 story? What drives us all crazy is the fits that are out there and we know that the Pats front office would rather sit and wait for the agents to come begging them. I'd have rather had Blount than Ridley and you could have gotten a pick for Ridley. I think Ridley is overrated. Now they are trying Michael Bush.

Asleep. They must have a great pinochle game going on in the front office. They have been they had one significant pick up in Browner really. Revis was pure luck. Then they sign Wendall and last year Arrington, to crippling contracts for fringe players. It drives me mad.

They could have had Allen for $8mm per year. What were they thinking here? They had the CAP. All of you naysayers, one question. Would Allen had made this Team better? Bill, would Allen had made this Team better? Would Nicks for cheaper money have been better than LaFell?

Would I have cut VW for a shot at Allen? Without a blink of hesitation.

O.K. Spilled milk now. My sign the beast heroes have some injury issues, a bottle issue and an under performer but still young and finally a Vet playing at a high level last year.

DE/LB Anthony Spencer. Only 30 and a Pro Bowl performer. Almost healed. A healthy Spencer is a DE upgrade on the jack of all trades Ninkovitch who I see as our perfect Spikes MLB replacement. Spencer will miss some OTAs but will be a go for 2014.

WR Sidney Rice. Only 27. Was borderline elite when healthy. Now recovered. We still need another WR. Dobson is a question mark with his hoof. Who knows if he will be ready. LaFell is your traditional #3 WR. When healthy, Rice would be our best receiver hands down. They say he is now well.

WR Justin Blackmon. Only 25. The bottle has created an issue. If he is sober he is worth perhaps a 4th to JAX as he could be elite in our system.New surroundings and atmosphere might work well.

DE/LB Robert Ayers. Only 28 Played decent for the Broncos last year. 5.5 sacks. Bigger than Nink. Maybe coming into his own. Josh knows him. "Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 14 defensive end in 4-3 system last year while being a very effective run-stopper." 6'3" and 274. Might be your classic "late bloomer".

OG Travelle Wharton. 32. Had his best year in the pros last year. three times the upgrade on the 31 year old Connelly. Maybe half the money that Connelly is getting. Why have we not pulled the trigger?

Just my thoughts Cousins.

He earned the sobriquet Ohrn-BUST by being a bust for the Pats. This is his chance to TOTALLY REDEEM HIMSELF.
