OT-Nice sign Miami!

Just heard on the sportsflash on WEEI that Joey Porter is in trouble with the law. He apparently punched a guy in the face at a gambling table in Las Vegas:rolleyes:

Former Pittsburgh Steelers standout and current Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter was cited by Las Vegas police for misdemeanor battery after he allegedly punched another NFL player in the face Sunday night, according to a published report.

Porter
The Las Vegas Review Journal is reporting that Porter was cited for an alleged fight he had with Cincinnati Bengals offensive tackle Levi Jones.

"Apparently these two have a history with each other, a history of trash talking on the field," Las Vegas police Lt. Kevin McMahill told the paper.

Jones was treated by medical personnel at the scene, McMahill said.

Porter recently signed a five-year, $32 million deal with the Dolphins after being released by the Steelers.

In his eight-year career, Porter has 60 sacks and 10 interceptions.

LOl PFT has it too:
..." Per an e-mail from a reader who claims to have witnessed the incident, "They started talking sh-t, Joey Porter saying he'll always be a Steeler. He showed off the Super Bowl ring and Jones got up to him, and Joey Porter pretty much kicked his ass . . . . Jones never got a shot in."

Of course, this means that the Dolphins will be getting three points in Turd Watch. And that we'll also have to figure out how to reset our "days without an arrest" back to zero. "

Re: OT-Nice sign Miami!

That's hilarious! I kind of like that about Porter -- it wasn't a random incident, it was related to football. Trash-talkin' off the field, too.

Re: OT-Nice sign Miami!

And the other guy's a Bengal, also no surprise.

Re: OT-Nice sign Miami!

Another addition to PFT's Turdwatch.. list continues to grow longer, compare this to Adalus Thomas..

Re: OT-Nice sign Miami!

Idiot Dolphins fans are spinning this into a good thing saying this guy has attitude and fire. They deserve each other.

Re: OT-Nice sign Miami!

Alas the Dolphins are on the turd watch!

Re: OT-Nice sign Miami!

At least he didn't get shot in the buttocks or end up late to his wedding this time!

Re: OT-Nice sign Miami!

Oh, gee, I am so surprised.

Porter could sexually assault a chick and the idiot Dolphans would gush about how he's a guy who takes what he wants.

Honestly, I can see that getting into a football-rivalry-based fistfight with another NFL player would go down a little easier than the typical "turd watch" offense. Heck, the other guy was 6'5" and 300 lbs! :) It wouldn't be a big deal...if his record had been otherwise sparkling. Big if.

By the way, how do the Dolphins fans feel about the "he'll always be a Steeler" part?

They are simply pretending like they never heard it.

The League isn't going to tolerate 600lbs of NFL muscle getting into fights amongst the civilian population. It's too dangerous for normal folks to be round not mention the security/law enforcement personnel who have to deal with the beasts.

The "lifelong Steeler" has already had a few scrapes with the law.

Re: OT-Nice sign Miami!

Maybe they should call the AFC Central......The AFC Booking Central.

It's funny, on PFC's "turd watch" for this season the AFC South holds a solid lead over the entire rest of the league put together. Bengals are falling down on the job. :)

Re: OT-Nice sign Miami!

I love to rag on our division rivals too; maybe it's me but the fact that it was another NFL player makes this kind of a non-story to me. Sort of a "big deal." These guys have their own little world. If Porter had come out of that world and slugged a civilian, it's a much bigger deal to me at least.

Re: OT-Nice sign Miami!

Probably just a matter of time before Miami sends Porter off to the CFL... in fact, with Ricky Williams and now apparently Joey Harrington being sent up north, it's clear that Miami has become a great farm team for the Toronto Argonauts.

what a loser, dolfigs can have him
