Pats Sign Brandon Browner!

Revis and Browner immediately speed up the development of Dobson, Boyce, Thompkins, and Logan Ryan.

Ecstatic.

This is way better than finding out our pro bowl TE is a serial killer + signing Tebow!

But this is not better than finding out that tebow is a serial killer

That will be interesting. You have to figure that one of the early games will be Denver here. There's no way that Goody wants Peyton to have to come here in the cold.

Sunday night in November. Count on it.

Seriously, if you watch browner play, the thing that stands out is his fundamentals. He is old school like **** Butkus. Shoulders square, low stance, tackles into the body, wrap up, follow through to uproot the legs and rip the ball out.

I half-agree. I think CBS will have something to say to the league about the AFC's marquee game being assigned to NBC 2 years running. I predict a November late-afternoon game.

Great signing, the days of plugging in NFL d back "has beens" or converted wide receivers to play this position is over...

Pats Sign Browner!

Reiss take on Browner back with Mccourty

Answering the safety question. Some have asked if Browner might be a candidate to play safety, where the Patriots might be looking for reinforcements. The thought from here is that would eliminate one of his best assets -- the ability to get his hands on receivers at the line of scrimmage and disrupt the rhythm of the passing game with phsyical play.

I agree. His best asset.

That'd be why I said he should play corner for us and the Pats should draft Bucannon on day two. That said, he's clearly here to hit people so I wouldn't mind seeing him at SS either.

I agree. His best asset.

There were times last season when Belichick used a 4 defensive lineman, 3 linebacker, 3 cornerback, 1 safety front, I would not at all be surprised to see that take place in 2014 more often. In addition, I think Browner will play a ton of coverage LB and man up against the tight ends in the NFL. You look at third down situation Revis locks down the best WR and Browner locks down the top tight end it is special.

I do think he will see reps at safety though. He actually played safety in his first NFL stint before going to Canada.

Since he's now listening to me...

BILL, sign James Jones!

His "sources" were right about Browner and Revis. Hard to disbelieve the man at this point.

I do not expect him to be released (maybe I am just being hopeful).

If Hernandez didn't like killing people we'd be a DT in the first and RG in the second away from being 16-0 material.... yeah I said it

RG should not go in the 2nd. Provided their attention is now on WR (if the Steve Smith reports are true), they should sign Jones and draft a DE in the first round.

Sharing this with our friends over on Jets Insider.. see if they say they don't know him.. or can't recognize that face ;)

Saw that. Well played lol

Ryan has great on the ball skills as we saw last year. 1-5 in CBs...hard to name another team with a better 5

Hell revis will be better then most teams top 3 put together :)

Say it LOUDER. I want him to hear you and I hope that he listens.

Just to make it clear, I did not call Revis. I wanted them to sign a press man CB THEN get a hitter at SS. I said I did not think Revis was coming here, but he did. Now we have our press corner and a hitter at SS/CB. Let's focus our ammo on a WR that works outside the numbers. Smith is no longer an option so I hope James Jones is next up. PERFECT fit, IMO.
