Denver has never, EVER, beaten the Patriots with Gronk on the field.

Deniver scored ZERO points in the first half of the Super Bowl...EIGHT total

way to represent the AFC!!!! YAY Peytie Pout!!!!

Denver beat a New England team decimated by injuries to all pros on both sides of the ball...no excuse, just FACT. Denver was NEVER that good last season. Spin it all you want...8 points is 8points..pathetic.

It wasn't just that they only scored 8 points. A good offense only scoring 8 against a strong defense is one thing if it's a battle. What Denver did was just freaking pathetic. I mean it was pitiful. They got stomped. They looked like a junior varsity girls field hockey team. It was just straight up bad.

Yeah, sure, but we're suddenly Denver's "little brother" in the AFC because?
We bury them consistently. Tom Brady torches them consistently. Peyton Manning plays pretty mediocre against us consistently. We out score their offensive by a significant margin consistently.

So they signed Demarcus Where?, TJ Ward and our injury prone former CB to "give them more physicality." Really, really far from trembling right now.

Just more Denver media hype that doesn't translate to beating the Patriots.
GRONK SMASH

I think the Pats are something like 6-5 vs PM over the last ten years and hold a +9 combined point total over that same time period. Just saying.

Probably a decent possibility.

I know that Brady was 10-4 vs Manning (like they line up against each other) prior to the AFCCG, so the loss would bring it to 10-5.

I could see a 6-5 record once we had his number for awhile in the beginning.

2005--loss
2006--loss, loss
2007--win
2009--loss
2010--win
2012--win
2013--win, loss

I'm counting 4-5 myself starting with the 2005 season, although we've won 3 of the last 4 since the "go for it on 4th and 2" game in 2009.

You may be counting the 2004 season as well.

Check the Denver IR report for that Pat game. Weren't exactly at 100% either. That's a fact as well. 8 points in the SB was pathetic. No way to spin it and it's unacceptable. Hence why the organization is trying to improve.

If it makes you feel better though, yes, Denver's performance in the SB was absolutely pathetic.

Oh God, stat cherry picking, I love it. Why even include the Brady wins? Why not just say Peyton is undefeated against Brady in all the games he's won against him?

Most of Peyton's wins against us have come, IIRC, at times when we had some serious problems as a football team, whether it be with half our team on IR like last year, or when right after we had lost a bunch of very important people and hadn't replaced them yet. 2006 AFCCG and coming off Brady's injury come to mind.

Regardless, that has little to do with the now, and the now tells me that the Patriots bury you when Gronk is on the field, and thinking Denver is better than New England for beating us without Gronk is pretty close to us bragging about beating you if Peyton was on the bench. He isn't `just` a TE.

He's the TE.

You tell him Pats16NO! Get your cherry-picking stats outta here MileHighFish, we'll do the picking thank you very much!

I did count the '04 season and I may be off. I just scanned past matchups and attempted to keep a mental tally. It's getting late so my mental tally may have been off:D

did you remember to remove the games in which the Pats had injuries?

No matter anyway, bro. The point stands. The matchups have been pretty close, I don't think that should be too disputable.

I agree with what the OP is saying about "not being scared," but I think both fanbases would feel the same amount of confidence--yet caution, when playing each other.

tally up Polian's rule change jihad from 2001 to 2005 specifically aimed at New England's constant F stomping of Precious Peytie Pooch. Year after year he jammed his rules through that specifically helped HIS QB.Our site has archives of material on this boondoggle. Manning is a great face for a product selling to middle America..he's big business. He's a lousy big game QB..always has been.

Forgot to do that!! Would have to figure in the Indy and Den injuries too then.... I guess that makes the career head to head record hmmm, let's see... Gotta be something like 0-0....:D

The Pats concern me every year! Just glad now the games have actual playoff implications for Denver versus just bragging rights....

Actually, if we're going to play this game, my favorite stat is that it has been 20 years since the Super Bowl loser won the conference the following year, and 40 years since the Super Bowl loser won the Super Bowl the following year. :D

You sound like a nice chap. I don't know how you stand your fan base.
I stopped by one of their forums after the Talib signing and one of them has a forum avatar with Brady crying and the words "I can never beat Denver."

Pretty sure 95% of you guys live on a little place called Bull**** Mountain.
