No shame

We just didn't have the horses out there today to compete.

The team really did exceptionally well with the talent the they left anld I'd say it was a successful year. The team showed quite a bit of character and never made any excuses.

While I'm sure they feel much like we do (disappointed) and the season ended 2 weeks too early, there's plenty to look forward to.

After losing that scumbag murderer, Gronk, Wilfork, Mayo, Vollmer, Spikes, Kelly, and a few others; this team should have imploded. It didn't. Probably 27-28 other teams would have had losing records with this many losses.

I am damn proud of this team. Disappointed with the loss, but proud of what they accomplished this season.

There's not shame in losing to Denver. There is some shame in a performance like we saw tonight. Sure, nobody fumbled the ball, but the Pats O left points on the field and the defense missed several opportunities. Arrington is pretty athletic, but he doesn't seem to realize that you need to look at the QB sometimes.

Both teams played pretty much mistake-free football, and Denver at the end of the day was better. With Talib, it would have been close, and with Gronk I think we would be celebrating Brady's 6th AFC Championship. Instead we saw a roster of JAGS play against an unbelievably stacked Broncos team and still have a chance at winning after 56 minutes.

Ridiculous. They gave up more than 500 yards, 27 first downs, 7 yards per play, and 0 turnovers.

26 points to the best offense in football is a good game any day of the week.

16 points is unaceptable when you're making the money Brady is making.

too many 3 and outs the defense was gassed.

It had every business being in the AFCCG. Despite incredible adversity and attrition this team posted the second best record in the AFC and outplayed numerous playoff caliber teams, including the Colts last week. Are you suggesting that the Colts, Bengals, Chargers or some other AFC team was more worthy than we were of playing the Broncos?

We came up short on the road. But that doesn't make this team any less deserving of everything that it accomplished this season.

Mayo:

I think the argument being made here is not "This team wasn't good enough to be in the AFCCG" so much as "A team that suffered as much as the Patriots did this year shouldn't make the AFCCG."

I mean, if I told you that the Pats would get a grand total of about 6 games total from Woodhead, Welker, GRONK, the Murderer, and Lloyd, and they'd play the majority of the season without Wilfork, Kelly, AND Mayo, would you predict they would go #3 in points scored AND #10 in points allowed?

We overachieved by a wide margin

With better offensive play, the defense could have had more breathers.

This was a whole-team loss.

Yes TOP:

Denver 36 minutes
Patriots 24 minutes

That is horrendous job of offense play execution.

You would think so, but they gave up points on what, 6, 7 consecutive drives? The only reason the score was so "low" was that Denver was taking so much time off the clock. Letting any offense drive the ball for 6 minutes and score every time they touch the ball is pretty much as terrible as you can possibly play as a defense. The defense really could not have been much worse today. The fact that they were managing to hold them to field goals hardly even mattered, because they just scored so many of them, and took so much time off the clock with each one that the offense didn't get to see the field very often.

I am proud to call myself a Pats fan. They represented themselves well today. Although I am unhappy with the result today, I am not disappointed. This team showed a lot of heart this year.

I look forward to next year when I current IR residents are back.

It's a two-way straight. The offense didn't have many extended drives, and the defense did as bad of a job getting off the field as I've ever seen. To be fair, they were playing the highest scoring and possibly best offense of all time.

Sucks we lost. But goddamn this team fought hard all year. Really enjoyed watching this team this year.

On to the draft.

This loss sucks, but I'm proud of this team. On to next year.

That's why I said 26 points ... against Denver ... that's at worst not to shabby. Both teams have 30+ points power every game if executing.

Damn proud to be a patriots fan. they did a great job this season. i am looking forward to next year.

You have the best coach in the game, that's for sure. I'm already terrified of your roster for next year, and praying we can win the Super Bowl so we can at least have bragging rights through next February.

How come no one wants to talk about the fact that the pats are never healthy?

Whats this if crap? I can guarantee you that thete will be injuries future post will reason as to why we dont win next year.

How about we start.building some real depth instead.

counting on healthy Gronk or Amendola for playoffs is fools gold. Im skeptical their availability late in the season always, team needs to add new pieces

Need to give a shout out to Hoo-man. He's played real well for us. I really like him as a 3rd or maybe 2nd tight end. Not the guy you want out there as your #1 guy. But, I wouldn't mind if he stuck around for a few years.
