Not sure how this unbelievable statistic is not getting more attention. 75% of his seasons as a starter he has his team within one game of the Super Bowl. I don't think we will ever see a QB with this sort of sustained success again.

I'm not sure the record for championship game appearances is for a QB but if 8 is not it it has to be up there.

Just a nice remainder of how lucky we are to be witnessing this run. We will never see it again.

I didn't even think about that, but that is truly astonishing. I don't know if that will be repeated either.

No wonder we are spoiled :D

And fatigued. LMAO!!!! :D

(FWIW, the Math Police would point out that 8 of 12 is 67%. LOL)

Seriously. We really are. Teams would kill for that and we laugh it off. Divisional games are preseason games haha.

Real GOAT's play to go to the Superbowl 75% of their starting seasons.
ESPN "GOAT's" like to watch him at home.

Also, just tallied Montana's... he's 7 for 13 as a starter... still darn good... BUT not as good as Brady.

LOL oops. But it just LOOKS like it should be 75%! Optical math illusion I guess. :)

Being 5-2 in the seven played so far is pretty impressive too IMO.

Seems industry (not media, though some of them too) are coming around on this Brady being the greatest. Let's just put the discussion to rest by taking next sunday and hopefully 2 weeks later, but 1 game at a time.

Probably would have been 9 of 13 if he didn't go down in '08.

Here's one: FIFTY PERCENT of his seasons he has led his team into the SB if he does it this year.

Building on all of this, the Pats are one of 5 teams with 10 or more Championship Game appearances. A win on Sunday ties them with the Cowboys and Steelers for most wins overall (8) AND ties the Patriots with the Cowboys for most road wins in Championship Game history (4)

Steelers - 15 appearances
49ers - 15
Cowboys - 14
Raiders - 11
Patriots - 10

It is used a lot, just not in favor of Brady, it is used to tell how lucky he is to have a great team unlike Manning.

The Media's Response :

What? No man. History is being made in week 1 when Peyton throws 7 TDs..........

Why would we care about postseason success and achievements?

Brady's detractors will always make excuses like that for Manning at Brady's expense.

Remember that Brady's detractors are DUMB

Truly remarkable number for the Patriots...

When I run into or call fans from around the country, they are all very envious..
will never take this for granted.

That's the stat I'd like to see. Plus I'd like to see 4-2 in the Superbowl. :)

That is a magnificent statistic. But it is also why it is so painful to not have won a SuperBowl in a long while.
