Hah!! Love this!!
I don't care to pick apart other guys's Visions, so I won't go into detail, but I just had to say...
1 ~ Love the inclusion of Crockett!! I haven't broken'm down at all, mind you, so it's very possible that I'll end up UFAing'm, but I was watching Tape on another guy, just a couple days ago, literally, and Crockett kept standing out!! Again: Only two or three Plays, but my first impression is that I love the guy!! :rocker:
2 ~ Thanks for the Shout Out regarding Brother Storm, Brother Stel!! I love that kid, and of course his QuarterBack, Blake Bortles, is a SuperBinky of mine!! :rocker:
3 ~ Props to you and Brother Brit!! Grizzly Heavy, baby!!
Storm is a beast but he puts the ball on the ground a lot. I was touting Bortles last year but he is rising too fast. I was hoping he could be a round 3 guy. Doesn't look like it now.
well injuries for startersWhy should he be cheaper than we'd expect?

OK been a while since my last one. This mock takes into account the following FA and Injury comebacks. Vollmer, Kelly, Wilfork and Mayo all come back from injury to their starting spots. We also look after Edelman and Talib in FA as the priority.
Trade our 1st rounder for a earlyish 2nd and a 3rd (40 and 72). I lso use our 4th for a bit of a trade up as I have 2 players targeted in the mid and early 2nd.
2.) DE Kony Ealy (I think this is the position that would impact the Pats D the most
2.) TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins ( biggest need )
3.) C Weston Richburg
3.) WR Brandon Coleman ( Good spot to take a flier on an intreaguing athlete and I want as many weapons or TB as possible. Interesting red zone target and can stretch the field opposite Dobson. It also could potentially give us a "big" line up with Jenkins, Gronk, Coleman and Dobson. This in contrast to our small line up of Vereen, Edelman, Amendola, Boyce... and GRONK)
4.) Used to trade up in the 2nd round
6.) DT/DE Deandre Coleman
6.) CB Keon Lyn
7.) OG John Urschel
With this draft we throw some bodies at the interior OL for competition. Give TB 2 new weapons and see what sticks while keeping minitron in FA. Jenkins will have a big impact with this offense allowing us to legitimately run the 2 TE again but also be a solid blocker.
I also think that rush DE is one position that will have the biggest impact on this D once healthy. If Ealy can provide a legitimate pass rusher instead of us having to rely on bringing in someone like Carter mid season then this defense when healthy can be a top 5 unit imo.
I don't know if we take a TE and wr. Maybe wr Coleman, but otherwise I don't see us taking a skill player on O. We have amendola, Dobson, Boyce, KT and possibly Edelman. We don't have much room or we aren't going to cut amendola, KT and Boyce. And for TE, we have gronk and Hooman, but do we draft another big TE or do we go for a murderer type flex te? And are we staying 2 TE offense?? Or is it a 3 wr and 1 TE?
I think we need OL, DL and maybe CB/S if we get rid of talib. Trust me I would love to add a stud TE and wr, but given our weaknesses in other departments, I don't know if bb takes players to help Tom. Would we rather have a solid D, and lines and marginal weapons vs superb weapons, marginal D and mediocre trench play?
On defense, I don't see a DE. Ninko is staying and we have CJ. Buchanan is here. Do we need a de because ninkovich and CJ are almost full time DEs. Just thinking out loud and not necessarily attacking you. You just sparked some thoughts lol
Edit: but I guess we could take Coleman. We should have wilfork and maybe Kelly at DT, add in armstead and our rooks and that might be ok.
Lineman is a need. Who knows, if we regain some of our injured players next year, we might be in good shape.

I think you've hit the 3 positions that I would go after. Ninko's a decent de. But, we're going to need a replacement eventually. And, rookie de's usually take a while to develop. I'm not sure Buchanan is the guy. If said guy can slide into dt for our nickel, even more gooder. I want to see what Tuitt looks like from ND at the combine. But, Ealy is someone else I've considered. Agree with the theory that if we go TE early, not crazy about another young WR to develop.
I almost completely am in love with this but it is a bit unrealistic, the Mallett trade for instance, him and a second aren't worth a first and a future 2/3, also Cleveland would much rather draft a QB than trade for an unproven back-up with pre-season talent from his rookie year. I do love the Nix pick but if we're using your picks, I wouldn't draft Hageman 5 picks later with Vince, Kelly, Armstead, Vellano, Jones, and now Nix. I'd much rather take a TE with that second first rounder such as Amaro or ASJ. We'd be draft winners already on night 1. By the way, I completely agree with Nix looking like a young Vince, been saying that since last fall. As long as we're sticking with your picks, I don't mind Jackson but would definitely rather draft any O-line on Day 3, probably a G like John Urschel of PSU or Andrew Norwell from Ohio State. With that 3rd I would probably draft a CB, even with Talib re-seigned or franchised, like Roberson from UF. Using your picks again, I'd drop the Aaron from that Lynch and make it Arthur, a TE from UGA, would provide depth at TE with Gronk, Amaro, and Hooman. Great hands and blocking ability, has been SEC's best TE for past 2 seasons. I love Murray's selection right after him. I've loved him since freshman year and alway's wanted BB to draft him. He has a a very accurate arm and solid gameday smarts, along with an underrated cannon arm. He just needs to work on his awareness and be seasoned by TB12 and he could take the QB reigns in 2017 when TB is done. Even with Spikes re-signed I love the Bullough pick, provides leadership, smarts, playmaking ability, and would gel nicely on this Pats D. Rajon Neal is an interesting pick but I'd rather swap it for Mark Ingram or draft Ben Malena of TAMU or DAT from Oregon if he falls that far, which I doubt. Millard is the draft's major steal I'd guess and can be Vereen 2.0. Imagine and offense with 2 reliable, playmaking slots (Amendola, Edelman), 2 deep-ball threats (Dobson, KT), NFL's best TE (Gronk), two young TE's (Amaro, Lynch), and then finally a back field featuring our primary rusher (Ridley/Ingram), one of the NFL's best powerbacks (Blount), and two playmaking scatbacks (Vereen, Millard). That gives BB so many potions to tinker with and use to fool opposing Ds. Najvar is very interesting and I like him but with Lynch and Amaro drafted, he becomes easily replicable with a G like Urschel that Dante can turn into gold. I agree Soapaga will be gone, along with Bequette, but I think Wilson, Kelly, and maybe Connolly remain in Foxborough. I also obviously agree with re-structuring Wilfork and extending Gos and Slater. IMO, 4 years 34 million for Talib is RIDICULOUS, with his hip and laziness along with other baggage I'd offer 3 years 12-15 million or franchise him. Edelman is definitely worth that money and may even take less with his close relationship with BB, TB, and Kraft. The Mack and Pettigrew signings shouldn't be made IMO with Amaro and Lynch taken by us and Wendell, a probable resign, and Braxston Cave on the PS. Without a doubt however, we must re-sign Spikes if affordable, his run stuffing and hitting ability is irreplaceable in this league. One week left of the regular season so I thought I’d give another mock draft a go.

*Trade*
Trade 2013 2nd + QB Ryan Mallett + Future 2nd or 3rd for a 1st round pick in the mid 20’s (Cleveland?)
This might not necessarily be in a single trade but that is where I would try to work my way up to. And yes, I know this probably won't happen.
1a. NT- Louis Nix III- Notre Dame (25)
We have had one of if not the best NT’s anchoring our defense for the last decade, hopefully Nix can do the same. He reminds me a lot of Vince Wilfork and I think he can have a similar impact in the middle of our defense.
1b.DT- Ra’Shede Hageman- Minnesota (30)
We get our immovable object in the middle of the d-line, now we get the explosive playmaker to put next to him. Hageman could wreak havoc with Nix occupying double teams next to him and free him up to use his size and athleticism to make plays. This has the potential to be an elite DT tandem for the next decade and help Chandler Jones step up to the next level.
3. OG- Gabe Jackson- Mississippi State (114)
For some reason Gabe Jackson has been dropping recently with some people thinking he could fall the the 3rd/4th round. I can’t see why but if he is here I would jump all over him. I have him as a fringe 1st rounder and would love to see what Dante could do with a guy with this kind of size and natural athleticism.
*Trade 4th for two 5ths*
*Trade two 6ths for a 5th*
5a. DE- Aaron Lynch- South Florida (157)
Projected by some to be a 1st rounder at the start of the season, Lynch didn’t quite live up to the hype but still has all the athleticism and physical talent to be a top quality pass rusher. He has a great size and length, strong hands, quick first step and a non-stop motor. If he can harness his athleticism and become the player he was as a freshman at ND he will be a steal and a quality pass rusher in the NFL.
5b. Aaron Murray- Georgia (160)
While he might not be my top rated QB in this draft he is the kind of guy I would look to develop. An experienced pocket QB from the SEC that has shown the physical tools to excel. Give him some time under Brady and he could be a good one. I would prefer McCarron, Mettenberger and Garoppolo though
5c. MLB- Max Bullough- Michigan State (170)
This guy just stood out to me on tape. He is the leader of the top defense in the nation and I think he will be a really solid player in the NFL with fantastic instincts. The thing that stands out the most is his length for a MLB where he is able to bat balls at the line or cover space dropping back into coverage. He doesn’t have great lateral agility and probably wont be able to cover slot WR’s and agile RB’s, but he has the length to match up with TE’s, He isn’t the quickest but covers a lot of ground because of his long legs. I love the way he sheds blocks and I think he has a lot of potential as a blitzer because of his long arms, violent hands and great instincts. He would make a really good replacement for Spikes.
6comp. RB- Rajion Neal- Tennessee (197)
I’m a believer that you can always pick up a RB and players like Neal falling to the later rounds is why. He has played well against SEC defences with a 5.23 YPA. He has a good mixture of size and speed and I think he would be a great complementary back if Blount leaves as a free agent.
6comp. FB- Trey Millard- Oklahoma (268)
Earlier in the year I said I would take Millard as high as the 2nd round, that is how much I love this kid. Now because of injury he will be a complete steal for whoever gets him. The only player in the NFL I could compare him to is Marcel Reece from Oakland, and I would love to have him on this team too. Millard is a fantastic lead blocker, he can ran it from the backfield, catch it from the backfield, block or catch in line as a tight end or even split out as a WR. He may well end up being the most versatile player in the NFL. Oh, and he was Oklahoma’s best special teams player too.
7.TE- Jordan Najvar- Baylor (333)
This is purely an upside pick similar to signing Sudfeld as an UDFA last year. Najvar is a big TE (6-6 265) with fantastic athleticism (sub 4.8 40) and huge upside. He hasn’t had any productivity in a Baylor offense that isn’t exactly kind to TE’s, but he is a former Stanford recruit and has a ton of potential.
Salary Cap
Cap Casualties
Connolly- $3mil
Sopoaga- $2.75mil
Kelly- $2.5mil
Adrian Wilson- $1.166mil
Bequette- $400K
Mallett (traded) $777k
Re-structure Vince Wilfork
Extend K Stephen Gostkowski
Extend STer Matthew Slater
With these moves I think we could save around $17.5mil
Re-Sign- CB- Aqib Talib (4yr $34mil?)
Re-sign- WR- Julian Edelman (3yr $12mil?)
Sign FA- C- Alex Mack (5yrs 42.5mil?)
Sign FA- TE- Brandon Pettigrew (3yr $10mil?)
Re-sign if cheap- Wendell, Spikes, Blount, Fletcher, Svitek, Hoomanawanui
The cap might be tight in 2014 due to the dead money to Hernandez and big money towards the end of the contracts of Mankins and Wilfork. We may need to back load some contracts past 2014 but we should get some relief in 2015 without the dead money and Mankins likely gone or at least extended/re-structured to a much lower cap hit. Alex Mack would be my #1 FA priority although maybe a difficult one, but he would certainly solidify our O-line and remove a major draft need at C.
I know most people want a TE early but I couldn’t pass up the chance to set up out D-line for the next decade. I think a solid vet FA added to compliment Gronk, as well as a developmental guy or two late as well as transitioning Mark Harrison to TE would be a solid group going forward.
One thing I didn’t want to do was touch the secondary. I think we have the talent there, it just needs to stay healthy and find some continuity. Let these guys develop together and we could have an excellent defense.

I believe that BB needs to rebuild the TE since AH is gone, and Gonk may never come back or retire from all his injuries. BB loves the TE position and the draft will look like this:
