The Jets Have Something To Play For

Really? I don't hate Miami all that much. The Pats and Jets have a history with each other involving plenty of ill feelings toward the other. Kind of petty to hate a team for doing well. Which I'd say the Dolphins have done well enough to be a contender for the playoffs. Not sure if there's some other reason to loathe the Dolphins?

How old are you? Definitely under 40. Perhaps a New England Patriots history lesson is in order.
Between November of 1966 and January of 1986, The Patriots did not win a SINGLE away game in Miami. They lost NINETEEN consecutive times during nineteen consecutive years. All the while watching The Dolphins be one of the 4 marquee franchises in the league. Throughout the 70's, it was Steelers, Cowboys, Raiders, & Dolphins and that was about it.
Not sure there's some other reason to loathe The Dolphins? Umm... Don Shula, Mercury Morris, Larry Czonka, Bob Griese, etc. etc.
The John Lennon game when Smith missed the 36 yard field goal and choked away the division in 1980?
Followed by years of futility stuck behind the next long Dolphins era of Dan Marino?
For real, your NFL history knowledge stop somewhere in the 90's or something?

Unreal. :bricks:

I may be from Bahrain , but i really really hate the Jets .
PS. Merry Christmas to all and have a very Happy New Year. GO PATS.

why do the jets keep getting their own threads here? they havn't been relevant since what 1971 or something?

Just a guess but maybe it's because people read the threads and then post a comment on them

Especially since they already have the original. :D

hey now, the next mark sanchez would be an upgrade over the current geno smith.

Give Rex an X-mas present

I guess it's a generational thing. The squish the fish game and the snowplow game were two of the remembered games in patriot history for a reason. Losing in Miami 15 years in a row, and having them knock us out of the playoffs gave us a lasting dislike for the team. And then, of course, there was Don Shula.

Yeah, my hatred of the Dolphins comes to me easier than the Jest. if the Jest are good and running their mouths, that's one thing, but the Dolphins? It's hard to explain beyond what you've said here.

You're muddying the waters unnecessarily...let me make it simple using Planck's constant...

The Planck constant (denoted h, also called Planck's constant) is a physical constant that is the quantum of action in quantum mechanics. The Planck constant was first described as the proportionality constant between the energy (E) of a charged atomic oscillator in the wall of a black body, and the frequency (ν) of its associated electromagnetic wave. This relation between the energy and frequency is called the Planck relation:

E = hv

in contrast, the Jets constant is denoted by this equation...

Jets =suck x futility/eternity

Joe, either you're really smart, or you're like me and watch a lot of Big Bang Theory.

The opening poster is one of the best on this board, but in this case he's wrong. I can't think of a more meaningless game for the NY Jets. At this point, Rex is history and the Idzik era begins with a new head coach and serious overhaul of the football operation. Three consecutive non-winning seasons out of the playoffs is the limit.

That said, I hope they beat the Dolphins and send them into an off-season tailspin as well.

One of the reason Wrecks is so bad is that he is so emotional. He and the team do great when they have some silly motivation, but come out flat otherwise. It is really unprofessional.
