ROFL, Blount doing the Ray Lewis dance IN Baltimore is the funniest thing EVAH!!! I hope their fans enjoy that animated gif!! Cos I sure did!! :D

I was wondering what that was. Looked like Blount was having an epileptic fit.

Very funny.

I love that they won, and it was great to watch the score roll up, and to watch Suggs get away with a blow to Brady's head, so that he can no longer even pretend that Brady gets all the calls. Having said that, Flacco's leg was obviously a huge factor, and the early bad calls also helped a lot. By the time the Ravens even had a chance to settle down, the game was tilted well into the Patriots favor. It was remniscent of the 45-3 Jets game like that, and I'd rather not see the Patriots face the Ravens in a playoff rematch.

So, you would be happy with the Ravens DBs holding all game long.

The Refs sent a message early that they were going to call PI and IC, so either back off or suffer the consequences. The ONLY bad call was on the Edelman deep ball where he fell down and did some acting.

Got through 9 pages before I got tired and had to go to the end. sorry if this was posted, but I need to give a big shout out to Ridley near the end of the game.

not only did the Ravens D know we were going to run, Ridley (on 2 drives) was stood up by multiple Raven defenders and he kept driving his legs forward to get extra yards (and first downs or likely conversions). While doing this, the Ravens were trying to strip the ball and he held onto it like his role was on the line (which it probably was).

A great game for him and I hope BB gets him a game ball for the extra effort.

No, but you can certainly out-coach your counterpart....which Patricia clearly did.

I hear what you are saying, I just never bought into the "Brady beat Manning head-to-head" stuff either.

In this case, IMHO,Patricia (or Belichick) outcoached Jim Caldwell. McDaniels outcoached Pees.

Also, I'm tempted to go to a Ravens site, just to hear them whine about the officiating. i mean they do that on every lose to the Patriots (probably other teams as well).

While the officiating was sloppy, they can't complain about 2 overturned calls...which was odd at best because you never see that happening with those type of calls. They'll conveniently forget about their own sloopy play and the non-calls on their o-line.

I mean, it happened once for sure and I believe another time, that a raven o-lineman was given a piggyback ride by Ninko on his way to the QB. I can see it not being called, butthese were plays were a sack would have been likely and it gave Flacco enough time to get the ball away.

Yup.

There was one, in particular, a 10 or 11 yard gainer for a key 1st down that was every bit as epic a smash-mouth run as Develin's goal line TD in Houston.

THAT was some "angry running". I've defended Ridley for weeks for getting a bad rap (particularly this week when Belichick wrongly stated a case about Ozzie Newsome, who actually had a HIGHER fumble-to-touch ratio in his first 3 years than Ridley).

Good to see the kid fight through the trash being thrown at him.

The Patriots have lost to the Jets and Dolphins this year,

The Ravens lost to the Steelers and Browns

Divisional games are usually tough.

and they would have lost to the Browns if not for an onsides kick recovery.

The Ravens almost lost to the Lions and Vikings.

Football | NFL | Team Schedule - Baltimore Ravens - washingtonpost.com

The Pats are better than those teams.

The Ravens are better than all of those teams, and they're the only AFC team that matches toughness with the Patriots. I'd much rather see the Chargers get the 6 seed, if the Patriots don't get the 1 seed.

Not this year with the 25th ranked passing offense and 32 ranked rushing game. Your QB is hung out to dry when you cannot run the ball as we just witnessed.

FOOTBALL OUTSIDERS: Innovative Statistics, Intelligent Analysis | 2013 OFFENSIVE EFFICIENCY RATINGS

The Ravens cannot attack the Pats where they are weakest and thats run defense. Bring them on.

Ridley and the O Line really showed something yesterday. As impressive a show of toughness and rising to the challenge as I've seen in a Pats team. Remarkable given the injuries.

24 to 36 Pass to Run ratio.

THAT is what I was screaming about before , during and after last week's game in Miami.

They SHOULD be on a 5 game winning streak right now. McDaniels simply had a brainfart last week.

I think I've been complaining about the pass-happy offense since the Giants regular season game in 2011. The Pats added to my frustration when they did it in the SB against them that year and lost again.

Not this time though. They went through the Ravens like a warm knife through soft butter. And they did it with a completely makeshift OL. Amazing stuff once again by one of the most amazing teams on an amazing run.

It's too bad that teams couldn't beat the Pats with their mouths, or by crying to the refs before, during and after games. If they could, the Pats wouldn't be the best NFL team of the last dozen years.

Agree, if only for the fact that the Cravens are a team that plays by emotion and this smackdown on their home turf would prove to be a great source of motivation. Much as it did the Jets in 2010, and they are very similar teams.

I'm not sure if I would much rather see the Bolts. They have beaten good teams, and have done so on the road. There really have been no blowout losses this season, with numerous close losses, and Rivers is playing well of late.

McCourty and the buttcussion

Man the way he stood up and tried to walk scared a little bit, I know we need to make sure that that 2nd seed don't go to Cinci but I would rest him even if he pass the protocol.

Bad day for McCourty, missed 2 picks, made a wrong tackle and got outplayed by Tavon Wilson the new starter.

the 4Q drive that they started inside the 10 and almost got sacked in the EZ is another case in point. The very next play after the sack on the 1 or 2; the RDE comes around the LT and beats him badly; the guy is tugging on (holding on with both hands like he is hoisting an anchor chain) on the Patriot's LEFT ARM to keep him from going to Flacco; no call and Flacco gets it off to Jones who on a slant gets Arrington hit on a brutal pick play. 1D + 10 yds.

What do the announcers say; 'oh Arrington RAN INTO THE WR" .... 'that happens'....

No camera-work to show the eggregious holding and no commenting by the illustrious ones in the both how a PICK is an ILLEGAL PLAY by the O.

par for the course.

I think Chargers at 6 probably means they handle their business against Indy or Cincy and then show up in Denver for week 2.

The Ravens D-backs seem to have much less of a chance of competing with Denver's airgame.

Great game fellas. A few things that really stood out to me:

- When Patricia called for the defense to be aggressive, they won they're matchups more than they lost. It was evident in the first half. When the Ravens went with a no-huddle in the second half and our defense became vanilla, the difference was obvious. Luckily Patricia remembered what he did in the first half and dialed it back up again.

- The creativity in our offense, especially in the redzone, was great to see. All the bunch formations we ran really did a number on the Ravens DBs.

- Blount looks like he's getting bigger, stronger, and faster every game. This is turning out to be a real steal of a trade.

- Logan Ryan is proving again that when the play is there to be made, he makes it.

- Great, championship-like drive in the fourth when we really needed it. Pounded the Ravens into submission. I don't know what got into them, but we need to see more of that.

- Our LBs did a phenomenal job dropping back, staying disciplined, and playing the ball.

- Great coaching, and execution. This game made me so ******* happy. Especially since I live in MD.

- Lastly, listening to the radio on the drive in to work today was awesome. 105 The Fan was killing the Ravens and fans who complained about officiating. Merry ******* Christmas.

So is Josh Kline a find? Lucky game? Did Mankins cover his deficiencies?

He seemed to be blocking Ngata effectively on a good amount of plays.

Yeah, what the heck was going on with the refs at the end of the half? That was beyond ridiculous.

Pats ran for 142 against the 8th best run D in the league. No fumbles. Kudos to Dante and Ivan.

I honestly thought this was the best the OL has played all season. Mankins is actually an improvement over Solder at LT. The pocket as a whole was clean for Brady to be able to step up into and they run blocked well. Wendell, again, was getting beat on stunts and jays52 was correct in noting that the team rarely if ever attempts runs up the a-gap anymore because of it. But, as a whole, that was a very satisfying win. Hopefully they can build some serious momentum off of this, crush the Bills next week, and coast into a bye.

still thought it wasn't a bad call. the refs messed a jersey grab early in the route, so it should have been defensive holding at a minimum. in the endzone, it looked like he was turned and pushed as the ball came in. I'm glad the refs sent a message that team usually gets away with so many holding and PI calls anyway.

... Suggs on the sideline, sitting there with his mouth hanging open in disbelief.

That was not disbelief. That was Suggs looking pensive.
