Shefter: No suspensions for NY Thugturds

Unbelievable. The double standard rears its head again.

WTF? If I'm Kraft and every other owner in this league other than Woody Johnson, I am on the phone to Goodell demanding an explanation.

Colon and Ferguson were ejected. One for shoving two officials and the other for throwing multiple punches while an official was trying to pull him off of a Patriots player. Both are suspension worthy and should be. Not doing so undermines the authority of the officials.

It doesn't negatively affect ticket sales, advertising sales, or betting revenue, so it doesn't matter.

Not trying to be a wise guy here, but has any player ever been suspended for fighting?

Haynesworth and Suh, for stomping on down offensive linemen.

Antonio Smith this year, for ripping off Incognito's helmet and trying to beat him with it.

I'm ok with no suspensions

Mangold better get fined....that wasn't a ton worse than the block that just got Suh fined $100k....and imho it was worse than the play that got clay matthews fined $15k

mangold doesn't have the history, but he hit a player out of bounds and went low at his knees

I'm not really surprised by this. I just hope all the Jets fans who wanted Belichick suspended last year for grabbing a refs arm after a game are upset by this decision.

...but none for the general fisticuffs/mele kinda thing.

Steve Smith was suspended once for fighting...his own teammate, Ken Lucas. But even that was just a team suspension, not by the league.

Jets attacking the referees, who cares, we all know the real story here is Tom Brady's body language.

So you can throw officials to the ground now and take out knees out of bounds? Good to know

You can't see it but I'm wearing my shocked face.

as long as your not filming it from the sidelines, all is good!
