The only way the Pats will be able to get Trade Value for Dillon is if there are multiple teams who really want him. I haven't heard much interest for him yet (not surprising since the Pats don't talk much and his status with the team is still a bit nebulous) but if there is only one team interested in him, then they can just wait till the pats release him.

All of this of course assumes that the Pats don't end up deciding to pay him the money "due" to him based on the current contract.

I would not release him maybe a 3rd or 4th round pick from an NFC team dont want to see him in AFC much less the JETS or BILLS

If the Pats don't find a trading partner they will have to release him unless they choose to pay him what he's due under his current contract.

He would look awfully productive in a Broncos uniform.

Disappear for six months. It worked for me. I got sick of digging through 20 terrible threads to find one worth contributing to. I've taken enough of a break from those posters that I can probably hang around until training camp.
