Why do people just assume Tebow can play TE?

The appeal to Belichick's authority on the forum is really tired. Belichick makes his fair share of mistakes
I think in general, BB has made much less than his fair share. I think that of all teh NFL teams over the last 12 years, BB has consistently put up a better team than the 31 others.

What gets tiresome for me is people who judge him for players that didn't work. THe key to winning football is to build strong teams, not to always avoid picking players who don't work out. That is playing not to lose and never works.

The final judgement is how good a team did a coach build, not how many pieces he went through to build that team.

No coach is perfect, but a select few in hte league are better than all the rest, and BB is one of the select few.

Fanbots think you're hopelessly ignorant and/or not a real fan if you ever voice disagreement with a BB decision.

Either agree or be reminded that he is smarter than you...makes for compelling reading. :D

Hah!! Nice!!

Mad Bill is the best, and I am a Devoted Disciple...But he is human.

And it really is OK to question'm.

Sure it is ok to question him. I do it all the the time. What is much more annoying than the posters fanbots (as they are called that never question him) are the posters who constantly disagree with him but never offer up a better idea or solution.

Also, I am not sure the "Tom Brady covers all of BBs mistakes" works. TB has not performed well in some key games lately. Also, it was not BB who lost us those last 2 superbowls.

You know, except for the defense, which has ranged from merely putrid to historically awful for much of the last five years.

During that time period they have had 10 playoff games. In 6 of those games they have scored 21 points or less. They scored 14 and 17 points in the last two superbowls.

What do you think of the offense?

except that the entire press corps doesn't line up at your door every single day asking you why you bought the ticket , where you bought the ticket, did God inspire you to buy THAT particular ticket, would you continue to believe that ticket IS a winner, are you better than Tom Brady because HE pays for HIS lottery ticket, isn't gambling un-Godly....?...on and on and on...I mean , what happened here...did most of you MISS the past two years or what???

The only reason the media continued to do that is that Rex continued to feed them newsworthy soundbites. The jets are a poorly managed organization, and thats the big story there.

The Patriots, like usual, will feed them nothing.

The appeal to Belichick's authority on the forum is really tired. Belichick makes his fair share of mistakes, but unlike many NFL personnel guys he has the cushion to do so because he has Tom Brady at quarterback. There's about a thousand examples of guys Belichick signed or traded for who flamed out miserably.

He has to take big risks. When you pick as low as we do every year, you have to make gambles to find difference makers.

Instead of finding a solid player, Bill realizes that it's worth the risk of a bust if he finds a diamond in the rough somewhere.

This. Every year, the Patriots defense is bad at the beginning of the season, and rounding into decent by playoff time. Every year the Pats offense is fantastic, and then ****s the bed at some point in the playoffs.

The defense is a product of them spending the majority of their Salary cap on the offense.

The offensive failings? Not sure. Mostly they seem to turn into Brady getting inaccurate, and getting a case of happy feet at inopportune times. Some of it also seems to be playcalling issues.

I'm not sure what the debate is here, my argument was merely that Belichick's moves are hardly beyond reproach. The defense is easy to point to, but if you want to argue that the offense has also been an issue go right on ahead.

I will disagree with you, though. The playoffs and especially Super Bowls are small sample sizes, I don't know if we can infer too much from them if we step back from the emotion surrounding said games.

That I agree with.

When someone says that the fact that they lost the superbowl is a sign of some fatal flaw, or some sort of lack, its a whole lot of silly. You win some, you lose some, even if you're the best.
