The latest episode is up on their official website. Not a lot of info that we didn't already know but it is always interesting to go inside the War Room. They did a good job blurring the white boards this year....too good a job for my taste.

Did you catch this? Belichick turned down a trade for the Harmon pick!

Ha ha.

Seriously, once you've gone almost three full rounds, who really knows how to rank all the players left? Some of it probably based on seeing guys a year ago.

This is the only thing i've seen that might have indicated what was happening with Harmon's draft stock late (besides the Rutgers system) from Mayock.

I think that DOES show that BB must have thought that there was more of a chance that Harmon would be gone over the next 11 picks than Boyce, who they obviously targeted as their 2nd WR. Much like last year when it was rumored that SD was looking very hard at TWilson before the next Pats pick.

Lets face it, that the Pats scouting staff has a MUCH better idea of who else in the league has interest in the players the Pats are targeting, than Mel Kiper and Mike Mayock....OR us. It's just the way it is. On the other hand it would have been interesting to see who offered the deal and what it entailed.

BTW- if anyone who missed they show, they can catch all of it or Patriots.com

1) Apparently, Harmon was the last safety left on Belichick's board, or more likely the last in the 3rd or 4th round.

2) Apparently, Belichick didn't want to take the risk of losing someone he rated in the top 4 rounds.

3) Apparently, Belichick had 2 targets remaining: Harmon and Boyce. Belichick judged (??) that Harmon was more of a risk to be picked before 102 than Harmon.

4) It is not Belichick against the world. Clearly, Belichick expected/feared that another team agreed with him regarding Harmon.

Did you catch this? Belichick turned down a trade for the Harmon pick!
