What Bill Belichick did to the Vikings...

if Peterson turns out to be a good #1 WR then the Vikings may have had the best Draft out of every one they got a starting CB a DT that may turn out to be a pro bowler and a play maker at WR, the trade works out good for the pats yes becase they need it more picks but right now on paper the Vikings had a good Draft they filled all there needs

Dude.

The Vikings's 1st Round was HISTORICALLY Hideous:

1 ~ DT Sharrif Floyd ~ VASTLY OverRated. Day 3 Pick.

2 ~ CB Xaviar Rhodes ~ Solid Corner, but OverRated. Day 2 Pick.

3 ~ SE Cord Patterson ~ Psycho. Lottery Ticket best Picked in Round 4.

Best left to ANOTHER Team, in fact..

...and they traded us a MINT for'm.

They could've built a DYNASTY with those 6...PICKS. :snob:

same said to Moss, Dennard, Sapp and all those questionable ethics you dont want saints you want people who make a difference

Cool story bro. But no one in there right mind is comparing Patterson with Moss. And your red herring of Dennard and Sapp comparison makes no sense.

Patterson is a cool dude. But dude has a better chance of making it with the Vikes then with the Pats.

Can somebody please point out that "It depends on what we do with the Picks."??

That's a really important Point that certainly doesn't go without saying.

Thanks.

If we waste them like we did with the likes of T. Wilson, RI Dowling, and J. Bequette
Dowling...maybe.
But Wilson and Bequette already? Oh please.

I think you mean Patterson. And he might be alright for the vikings, and that simplistic O. But dude was not going to make it with the Pats, that is for god damn sure.

LOL yes Patterson but i agree with that but i don't think the Vikings made a bad trade they got 3 starters out of this Draft, im hopeing the pats get some good players with ther picks

I don't care about accumulating picks anymore. I'd rather them target impact players than trying to maximize value with every pick. We need an impact player or two to get us over the hump, not jags that fill the bottom half of our roster.

Look a few posts ahead of yours and you'll find a few.

OTG. Who would you have taken with those 3 picks instead? I think this will be valuable to look at in hindsight.

You don't think a single WR in the draft would start on this team? Because by falling down to #52 we are allowing other teams to take impact WRs.

I wanted Justin Hunter....thought he could eventually start
would be VERY happy with Markus Wheaton though....just not sure he'll fall to 52
wish we had gotten a pick around 40

It's a lot easier to find three starters in a draft, period, when you miss the playoffs than when you're making the AFCCG on an almost annual basis.

Ya, I think the Vikes did alright tonight. Rough division they have to deal with. Really like the Xavier Rhodes pick.

And I also like the Patterson pick for them too. Tho I would have went Woods or Allen. Still I think Patterson will fit alright. But not for the currency the Vikes gave the Pats..

Broken record. Impact is not designated by what possition you are picked. It's by the quality of the player. I.E Jerry Huges was targeted as an impact pass rusher for indy... he wasnt. Say they traded down into the 2nd and got a 5th and picked Gronk and Hernandez... that is impact right there.

This whole trade up for that impact guy is a fallacy in my opinion. You trade for value, you pick for impact. It's that simple.

The Washington draft strategy.

BB might have to trade up tomorrow then.

We might.

One of the following will likely be there at 53: Allen, Hunter, Woods, Wheaton, Dobson. If there starts to be a run on WR's we could move up, or not.

No worries, with this first round trade back...

MacaBeli has the currency to move around the second round to get the man they want..

..And it will be no one we like.

The Washington draft strategy.

It's what we did last year and we got an impact player in Jones and a good player in Hightower. I think it worked out.

Theres no way he would pick up this offense, Im sure they have a couple WRs that can handle this offense targeted and will do what they have to tomorrow to get one.

I think Wheaton and maybe Patton and Terrence Williams will be there, but I have doubts that Woods, Allen and Hunter will.
