Any word on Woody & Jones injuries?

This team is cursed when it comes to health.

Oh come on; let's stop whining. The Pats are going to their seventh AFCCG in 12 years. Every other team in the NFL would give their left whatever to be "cursed" like that.

Anyone know when the Jones thing happened? Jones skinned Brown alive on one play in the first half. Naturally, Jones ran past Schaub because Brown had him in a headlock.

I couldn't care less about the Woody injury with Vereen doing what he did.

Watch the reply of Fosters TD where he looked like he didn't get in.

I think I recall seeing Jones screaming as his leg was in the middle of the pile. I think that was the play.

Gronk gone for the playoffs. Second year in a row the kid couldn't stay on the field when we need him most.

Diving for a ball 7 yards out of bounds? I LOVE the effort, but you gotta be smarter than that, kid.

Just sayin'.

No, there is no way a healthy person breaks on bone on that play. There was nothing exceptional about the hit his arm took.

It wasn't healed.

Good catch, Gr8test.

I remember seeing the slo-mo replay and my son saying "Chandler doesn't look too happy there" (you could see him in close up grimacing as he was falling backwards into the pile), but I didn't put 2 and 2 together regarding the injury. I just thought he was upset about being held and pulled down - - but looking back on it now, that was right before the half - - since he didn't come out for the second half - - and probably wasn't out there for the 3-4 plays before Graham's 55 yarder, then THAT was probably the moment of injury.

It Is What It Is » Bill Belichick: Danny Woodhead ‘would have been available’ to return to game

“Danny was examined and back on the sideline for the remainder of the game,” Belichick said during Monday’s conference call. “Had we needed to use him, he would have been available to go back in there.”

Woodhead left the field and went to the Patriots locker room and was fitted for a brace on his left hand. He returned and was spotted catching passes on the sideline from Ryan Mallett at the half. He did not return in the second half.

Belichick said even though he could’ve returned Sunday, the team now needs to examine him closely this week and doctors will have to clear him before joining the team in on-field preparations for the Ravens on Sunday in the AFC championship.

OK, post this if the pats make it to the SB and lose because they're missing key players. It happened last year and it could very easily happen again. I'm spoiled, i don't want to watch the pats lose another SB because we're understaffed do to injuries. And besides that for the last ten years this team seems inordinate amount of injuries to key starters.

Wonder how/if the brace would effect him though. Hope they play it safe and just use him if the run game struggles.

After watching Vereen and Riddley play yesterday we can survive without Danny. Losing Jones hurts but, Scott and Francis have both been playing pretty well. The pats are a deeper team this year and better able to deal with injuries.

Oh ya it's his fault Pollard came done on his ankle.

And the ball wasn't 7 yards out of bounds.

Very good news on Woody...these two little guys him and Vereen are going to have to replace Gronk. Though they are lacking in Size they make it up with Speed.

With Chandler I definitely wouldn't throw him out there next week. If we make the SB, I'd rather he'd at least have a chance to play then rather than throw him out there.

You need to get to the SB first and if he can go he should most certainly play. You don't sit players in the playoffs in case you make the big game. There is a huge game on sunday and after that a 2 week break.

maybe its me, but Jones hasnt been all that impressive since coming back from his injury...he started out fast, but since then kind of hit the rookie wall.

Francis/Trevor scott should be able to match his production..

Glad Woodhead will be ok...with Gronk out we need every available receiver.

Welker/lloyd/Hernandez/Woodhead/Vereen/Branch

isnt too shabby a receiving corp for brady

Jones was wrecking havoc last 2 final games of the reg season.

There's more to football than just sacks. Francis/Scott can't match Jones' play because they are nowhere near as good against the run.

I knew Jones was hurt badly when I saw him get rolled up on the Foster "touchdown". I wouldn't be surprised if his ankle was fractured.

Although it's been widely reported he limped out of the facility without a boot...

Armen, the ball wasn't out of bounds. The way he fell wasn't out of the ordinary. I wonder if the arm was re-fractured earlier and broke completely on that play. Or, of course, just not healed. Other posters have noted his favoring it in the Miami game and earlier in the Houston game. Yes, it is a downer but as it has been noted, the Pats have succeeded without him.
