these kind of stories before a pats playoff game always make me very uneasy. We all know how it doesnt matter on the field but some crap always happens when people open their mouths especially our writers. 2010 -whole welker thing, 2007- rams videotaping nonsense ...

Cancel your reservations!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only reason Shaughnessy is doing this is to come out and slam the Pats if they lose to the Texans. This guy gets off on stuff like that.

This is exactly the point. He wants to win both ways, pats win - they are playing tomato cans. they lose- he is gleefully happy to be wrong and crap on BB/Kraft. He will leave brady alone .

Shaughnessy is a dumb baseball writer, at best, and knows Nothing about Football.

Tom E. Curran, a genuine football writer, tweeted that Shaughnessy couldn't name 5 Texan players. But even worse, on top of that, he said that Shaugnessy couldn't name 10 Patriot players either.:eek:

The only worse sportwriter in Boston is that dweeb and also Red Sox mouthpiece/aplogist ***sucker and Shaughnessy buddy, the hated Mazzaroti.:snob:

Re: fans soDan Shaumething to post about ...UGH

Curly-Haired Boyfriend.

I forget who gave him that nickname.

Whose "Curly-Haired Boyfriend" is he? The man is a bitter 60-year-old. The acronym is moronic.

Texans will be harder than the Broncos or Ravens.

They want revenge.
Foster even has this dumb globe article as his twitter avatar at this point.
They're going to play is harder... And the only thing that made the last game a blowout was a few bounces going our way.
Hope the patriots match the intensity the texans will probably come with.

We need a "worst Boston sportswriter" poll. Dan gets my vote.

I don't even get why these hack writers hate the pats and love the Redsox? The redsox have become a joke of an organization and football/patriots have finally overtaken them. I would even say the Bruins bandwagon is more popular than the redsox at this point.

Can the media make bulletin board material? I thought that had to come from players. The fans and media have been saying crap like that since the beginning of time.

So last time they didn't really want to win the "biggest game in the history of the franchise" as much as they do this time around?

These motivational plays are not as meaningful as some think, especially when it's not any boasts by the opponent they are using, but rather comments of an ignorant sportswriter they likely had never even heard of!

NO. Just no.

Considering their first love is the Red Sox,you answered your own question.

They are like jilted lovers.

Chicken Littles are crying early this week.

Apparently Scott Zolak agrees with Shaughnessy, making comments on twitter that "Kubiak plays to lose" and "Bring these frauds on".

While it is true that nobody from within the New England organization has uttered a single disparaging word, I am sure that the Houston Texans will be playing the disrespect card in their locker room this week, and their fans and the media will play it up to the hilt.

Scott isn't exactly a 100 watt bulb

I'm sure they treated the Bengals game as the biggest game of their season, yet if Dalton throws the ball 2 feet shorter Bengals are playing Denver next week.

Great...i know who to blame if this ends up as 2010. Goddamn ugly ass mfer.

And by the way, I've thought Curran was an idiot about basketball ever since he tweeted that Paul Pierce was "soft", and stuck to it when challenged.

Greg Bedard had a comment that got right to the crux of the matter:

You'd think a 28-point loss on national television would be enough motivation for most people
