The 2012 season: the Jets [Mod Edit: STILL] suck

So many on Jester inside still want to pretend that Sanchez looks inept because those around him are inept.

I hold that its the other way round. The team is increasingly inept because Sanchez is inept. All these guys around him think Sanchez sucks. I guarantee it. They have no confidence in him because they know for every good play he'll have 2-3 bad ones. Their offense has regressed to the point where a comparison to the Keystone Cops cannot be far off... yesterday was a nice preview of what I believe is going to be happening more often next season if they stick with the Sanchize.

Back in 2009 when Fat Rex inherited Mangini's team the OL was still reasonably capable (if you can call it that). But Fat Rex didn't care a lemon's peel about the offensive line and he's the one that stuck Sanchez in there and allowed things to progress the way they have.

By now, the entire football world with the exception of Notsofat Rex and Tannenbaum has caught on that Sanchez utterly sucks. Their offense is pathetic BECAUSE of HIM, not because he lacks weapons.

I say, long may it continue! I give thanks for the Jesters ineptitude and hope they fluke their way to 7-9 or so so that the three stooges (Marky-Rexy-Tanny) will stay on for 2013... 2014 and so forth.

Jest fans, stick with Sanchez! :D

As they hash out the blame game in the media and on fan websites, you just can't make this **** up...

Tim Tebow active for Jets with broken ribs, but why? - NFL.com

Contrast that with Brady's response last night to BB winning #200. Said no one else he'd want to play for because while he's tough and disciplined that is what players need. Someone who holds them to high standards and holds them accountable. Not some emotional misfit looking to cover his and his GM's asses or soothe ruffled feathers and prop up bruised egos or ribs.

Gotta love Rah!Rah! Sanchez played awesome and the Pats won because they were lucky, not good.

I like how Rah Rah reverts to theological concepts rather than just say, "we ****ed up."

There aren't enough blowouts for Rah Rah to ever admit a negativity regarding his team, everything has to be cast in a positive light, it's just his personality and mentality. Good for him. He, Rex, Tanny, Woody, and the rest of them are more than welcome to keep building themselves up after complete embarrassments. It's not our problem.

PS I am now just reading the thread you linked, and it's almost as funny as the game.

Ray Ray's epitaph is seriously going to read:

"Was Great, the Ball Just Never Bounced His Way."

Gotta admit, I have a certain new-found respect for Jets fans - at least a few of them. Their comments in the JI game thread during the 2nd quarter meltdown were almost as funny as the ones here at Patfans :)

Ahhh, 10 more days until the next game, and what a wonderful way to spend them -- feasting on Spanksgiving leftovers.

At least their anti-Sanchez brigade has some way to explain how the Pats handed their butts to them even though "they're not really that good" (i.e., Sanchez sucks. Not the Jest in general, mind you, just sanchez.)

The rest of them are hilarious... they have to simultaneously believe the Pats are bad, the Pats beat the Jest, but the Jest are actually pretty good.

In such circumstances the role of pure bad fortune grows exponentially. By the time they're trying to explain a season like this one you'd think it the dominant factor in any athletic contest.

Eh well, guess God just loves us more right?

:ugh:

Sometimes you want to shake them and shout "STOP IT," and personally hand-deliver them Gintz jerseys.

It was heartbreaking that this was how the JEST "helped get the fans' minds off Sandy if only for a few hours."

I can just see a guy whose whole life was swept away by a super-storm, whose just gotten back power after nearly a month, somehow making his way to use his treasured JEST-Pats tickets, and knowing he's going back to a soggy shell of a house only recently declared habitable, to toss and turn on a recently FEMA-supplied cot, the only furniture he has to his name...

... and leaving the stadium early, to drive back to Staten Island on the remaining gas he stood in line for 14 hours to get...

You know there's at least one JEST fan that went through all that. I almost feel bad about this butt-whoopin'.

Almost. :D

PFnV

Better QBs replacing stiffs:
Redskins have gone from 26 to 7 in terms of points scored
Colts have gone from 28 to 21

Bad QBs replacing better QBs:
Dolphins have gone from 20 to 26

Clearly improved QB play:
Buccaneers have gone from 27 to 4
Vikings have gone from 19 to 15

Clearly declining QB play
Panthers have gone from 5 to 27

But, somehow, Sanchez' play is not the problem in NY, and it's all about his surrounding cast. Well, that's now. Last year, it was all about Shottenheimer and Holmes being the problems.

In that land of idiots known as Jetsfandom, Ray Ray is king.

I just got done trolling over at JI. What a riot. I actually feel bad for them. (I go back to the late 70's with the Pats, so I have been around during the dark times. I know how they feel)

Those people are clamoring for Rex' head, and to cut ties with Sanchez. There's only one problem with that...where's your fix? Little Timmy Tebow? Maybe thru the end of this year, sure. But what about beyond? Who's gonna coach 'em up? Sparano?

What a mess. Fun to watch, in a twisted, train wreck kind of way.

The ass sack will go into NFL history as one of the most hilarious moments of all time. And of course it proves the Jesters suck!

They use to do this crappy feature called the NFL follies... I guess it was a more innocent time, when you acknowledged that sometimes it was just funny when your guys did inept things.

Maybe the show wouldn't be tolerated today.

Or maybe the JEST would sue for trademark infringement.

So many things to be thankful for... I am thankful that our "divisional rival" is this keystone cops team...

I'm thinking NFL Films should be required to replace their trademark orchestral pieces with this when showing JEST film...

Benny Hill Theme - YouTube

Was really really REALLY hoping they would start the 3rd quarter with the Benny Hill theme.

At least it could have brought smiles to all of the sad, miserable jets fans a good laugh....

I don't know about you but this morning it almost feels like I have a hangover without any of the bad side effects.

It's like last night we went and crashed a college house party of that obnoxious liar in Psychology 101 that always tells tall tales, got ****faced, slept with his girl, drank all his beer, and peed in his pool.

Then you wake up and find his girlfriend's panties in your pocket. It's all a flash for me.

I can definately recommend googling the following: pats at jets keystone cops

It's like that game knocked some Jet fans out of a coma and they don't want to go back into it.

this is one time when trolls are useful. THE WHOLE FOOTBALL WATCHING WORLD can see that sanchez stinks. They've been saying for 4 years. It took me 3 years and 3 games to accept it. What more do you all need to see to believe everyone else on the planet is right and you're wrong.

It is sanchez.

It is his fault.

He is terrible.

A capable QB would never let this happen. A capable QB would have won us the superbowl in 2010.

I agree that blame can be placed to Rex and Tanny and they're jobs should be on the line as well, but come on man! The QB is everything. When you have one, everything else takes care of itself. When you don't, you start blaming the wind, the tide, the moon and stars before you can see the truth...

**** them!

Did the Pats ever tamper with their HC?

Did the Pats set up the Rats and then turn them in to the league, for something that they, and most other teams, do, to get the Omissioner to try and bring that Pats down to their level?

Have the Pats tampered with Rat players who they were trying to re-sign?

While the Pats fans, in general, did not celebrate Revis' injury, Rats fans not only celebrated Brady's knee injury, they openly call for Brady to be carted off on a regular basis.

If the Rats make a public apology for all of their unprovoked transgressions against the Pats, return the money BB was fined by the league, with interest, and give us their 1st and 2nd round picks in next year's draft to make up for the one they got the Omissioner to steal from us (the 2nd is 'interest' on the stolen pick)......

If they vow to cease and desist their rattiness.

THEN, I might consider feeling bad for the Rats.

As I watched last night's extreme rodent humiliation on national TV with a huge Thanksgiving Day audience, it occurred to me that I WOULD feel bad for any other team that endured this EXCEPT for the Rats.

They richly deserve this and more.

**** them!
