I know we were all worried when JE went down with an injury. But wow his back up has really step in and done a great job. I tell you that Wes kid is pretty good.

ha ha.............

Heh. Probably makes more sense to all the riders of the short bus. You know, the Edelman detractors. :D

If only the team could run the ball with this guy instead of just with Edelman.

LOL! Love it.

Just think, instead of what we got from this emergency option we could have had a brilliant 5 catch 22 yard performance.

i dunno, he looked ok I guess. Looks more like a slot player perhaps. I don't think he really brings much else to the table.

This Wes Welker guy is such a beast.

That Welk Wesler guy just got lucky today. Wait until teams get film on him. Besides he was cut previously by San Diego as an UDFA. Why can't we get real receivers in here and stop picking through other teams trash? DO YOU HEAR ME, BILL?!!!

Jules can NOT come back soon enough!

;)

He completely schooled Chris Harris or whoever was on him. It was just a horrible mismatch.

I guess it's just not possible to give Welker well-deserved praise without denigrating Edelman.

I don't regard this thread as a knock on Edelman as much as a criticism of the coaching staff. Well deserved, IMO.

Exactly, there ARE those of us that like JE as much as most but thought it was an absolute joke that Welker barely got in the game week 1 and early part of week 2.

I hope JE is a Patriot for a long long time but I fully support the premise of this thread. Whoever was behind the decision to leave Welker in a limited role or try to 'phase him out' deserves it 100%.

Well done - love the title!

Sorry, "I know we were all worried when JE went down with an injury..." drips with sarcasm about Edelman's abilities, or lack thereof. Thus, I call BS on this one.

The purpose of this thread was light-hearted humor at WW's very limited role week 1 and 2, not a knock on JE.

Keep in mind I also found humor in "Brady" being Cassel's back up.

WW was in on 76% of snaps in week 2, with 95 yards. I woudn't call that "very limited" even week one he was in for 65% of snaps.

:D

Nice try...
