To all of the posts that judged me harshly based on one post:

Thank you for taking the time to respond, but kindly shove it. :)

Believe me, I understand how you feel, as I said in my initital response to your post. Give it some time, as I have to do, also.

Thanks NEM. I'm sure that some of us around here are a little more emotional about the games than others.

One guy was talking about having a lighthearted convo with a friend minutes after the game... Well I don't know that I could do that even after a regular season win, much less a playoff loss.

Folks are just different.

Good luck on your recoup.

The morning after: Sorry about the crapstorm. I had way too much to drink.

I'll be around.

Worst post of the year? I've seen worse, but hey, it's only January! That post was what I needed as an outlet last night, and yeah it was a knee jerk emotional reaction, but that's what too much drinking will do to you when your favorite team allows 32 second half points to a team that you utterly detest. Ah well.
This is my first post since the start of last nights game. I do this by design. I never post after any loss until I've had a chance to cool down and get my emotions in check.

I felt like I had been kicked in the nuts last night. I still do.

But. I'm very proud of this team. There were a lot of "fans" on this board who had given up on them by midseason only to jump back on during the December run. This team has a heart of a champion. We had to play the immortal Rashad Baker and still came 1 minute from going ot another SB. Yes, we gave up a lead that on any other night would not have been given up.

But, I love the Patriots. I've been a fan for over 30 years and have gone through the really dark times. I'm not quitting on this team-NEVER.

And, BF80 neither are you. That is an order from the Mayor of Homerville.

I knew it last night... I thought, it had to be the:

Welcome back Brownie. I didn't know when I'd log on again, and here I am. After the loss (which I kind of expected, even right before the half) I went over to my house I'm re-habbing and grouted floors. Figured I'd work into the morning, wouldn't be able to sleep anyways.
It was a great year. So close to going back to another Superbowl, and we have two #1 ones coming up. I'm living in Chicago and will be pulling for the them............ah what could have been.

BF80, glad to see you back so soon, and let that three point stance (or the other one) go for a while. :)

I'm retiring the linebacker pose. I'm going to watch the games sitting down from now on.

Yeah, so close. And bested by MANNING. Ew still a bad taste in my mouth over that. Ugh.

Good to have you back man. Although I may not post a lot, you are pne of the people who I enjoy reading posts from. We all had a low point last night, and you just decided to put yours into words and post it. No big deal.

So let's toast an O'Douls to the Patriots for a great season. ;)

No beer today, way too hungover for that. :gag:

But the sentiment is appreciated.

It was a great season for what it could have been.

I guess I need to revisit the 'Patriots Fan of the Future' post and get my perspective back.

Through the beer haze I went from numb to enraged to depressed to bitter. And not in that particular order. Just those same four emotional states cycling over and over all night.

Today I feel more bummed than anything, but it's still hard to believe that it went down like that. Just... wow.

An unbelievable post. YOU PUT ENERGY INTO THE SEASON? How many touchdowns and tackles did you have?

I hope this post was in jest otherwise you need a lot of help.

You must be one of the post 2000 fans that are only satisfied with SB wins.

Get a grip.

Hey, back off. I've come down off that post from last night as stated later in the thread. And yes, I did put emotional energy into the season, as I do every year. I didn't claim I made a tackle or scored a TD, but you're a fool if you think that fans don't put energy into the game too. If they didn't, there'd be no 12th man while at home.

It was a big letdown last nite rather have lost 40-0.
Caldwell proved wr a big need.

Glad to see you cooled off, Bf80. I know how easy it is to get caught up in the moment. Fortunately for me, my home computer pi$$es me off so much that I refuse to use it. I've got to wait until the next morning at work to do any posting. That's saved me many a-time!
