Our next CB... (second round)

Don't be so sure. The guy is, right now, only being touted as a MID_ROUND (3-5) round pick.

Could happen the kid's got tremendous talent. The Pats did have Tiny Tyrone Poole for a while and he was 5'8''-5'9''. I don't think they pick a CB early tho. They'll probly franchise Samuel and have him, Hobbs, and Gay plus another CB for next year.

trust me..hes going to be a late 1st, early 2nd

especially after combines when he runs a 4.3

his size is going to leave questions

Bob Sanders is 5'8". If you can play, you can play.

Pats won't spend a pick on him that early. Not for that talent. Some teams may get a hard on for him at the Combine cause of his speeds, but I doubt the Pats would. I look for them to grab a corner late in the first day. Maybe AJ Davis if he is still around. He's not as physical, but he can be a playmaker.

well it all depends on Samuel..if he leaves we will take someone early and depends on how we feel with Hobbs as a starter..if we think he can be really good and have a better year than this one, then we might wait

I think the'll franchise Samuel. They have the cap room. I'm guessing the line up will be Samuel, Hobbs, Gay (if he can ever get healthy), and then another CB. Gay seemed to play well in 04 and in the 04 playoffs and then gets hurt. He can be a decent nickel I thought. I think they may take a safety in the first round. Michael Griffin or Laron Landry wouldn't be bad. If they draft either do you think Eugene Wilson moves back to CB?

Now there's a real plan. Franchise a player who probably will then sit out through camp(as most franchise players do), Hobbs and a player who can never stay on the field until Game 1 and some undefined CB. No, face it! Corner is the #1 draft priority.

I believe Samuel will play if they franchise him. Why not play for top 5 money for one year? Hobbs played well this year in the number 2 spot. Find a decent nickel corner and have Gay as a dime back. I thought the corner play was good this year. It would have benefitted from having better play by the safeties.
