Channel surfing this morning
Caught a glimpse of his fat pink mug on Comcast Sportsnet
Immediately exercized my right to watch another station and their sponsor's commercials.

D&C debating the issue this morning
Ku Klux Callahan naturally defending the turd and obscuring the argument
JD tried his best to rebutt without success
Switched them off as well.
i did the same thing. the second that red faced slob apeared on comcast sportsnet i changed the channel.

Keep up the pressure. Let them know you're not listening or watching. Take it to your facebook pages and other social media. Tweet with #boycottDeOssie.

Anyone got another link to that video. The Youtube video went private. I wonder why?

here's what he said. We can at least run the transcript.

"You know what, even if my son wasn't playing on the Giants, I would pick the Giants, because they are a better team..." He added "I just came from doing one of our pre-game shows, and we're up there and I got five guys, and there all talking about how great this is, and how great that is, and Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez and Welker. I said I know you got some great receivers, I know you got a great quarterback, but how hard is it to throw that ball when you got JPP, Osi, Tuck all over the place? I feel like I've come home here. I am a Giant in my heart. I'm so glad my son's a NY Giant. I struggle sometimes up in New England, but I know I got a home in New York. I love you guys, my son loves you guys, thank you very very much."

Ive always wondered how he became so popular with all these shows, he stutters a lot and hes hard to follow when he makes a point. He seems to be at a loss for words a lot and throws in scenario when he cant find another word. Boycotting watching him will be easy.
He reminds me of the laywer on my cousin Vinnie.

Right. Anytime he's at a loss for words (which is often) he uses the term "scenario." He's actually not terribly inarticulate, but his fall-back line when he's under heat and isn't quick-witted enough to respond is always, "Answer the question!"

I did receive a follw-up response from Jason Wolfe today. It read as follows: "Thanks for your e-mail (Jackson 2). I appreciate it. DeOssie apologized multiple times yesterday during an interview with Glenn and Michael, if he truly offended anyone. I think he explained himself quite clearly. Thanks again for taking the time to write in." In fairness, at least he responded which neither Comcast nor WBZ-TV has yet to do. But, I believe anyone who heard that interview (and I did) would be hard-pressed to describe that apology as genuine. As I wrote earlier, it clearly smacked to me of "I'm not sorry I said, I'm sorry I got caught." Unfortunately, this will go away and he'll be back on TV and radio as if nothing ever happened. In fact, he's already been back.

I'm not taking it as an attack. I'm just saying that if we had won, we probably wouldn't think about it too much but because we are already pissed about the loss now this has become a HUGE deal with people wanting him fired and his steakhouse boycotted. All my opinion of course.
Again it's ONE team and in 1 situation that yes he got carried away. Steve has worked in the market for years so we should know his history and kind of assume deep down where his allegiance is (with the team his son plays for and the team that got him his SB ring with). There just happened to be someone there with video.

Again though I'm not a big DeOssie fan so it's kind of hard to get too fired up about the criticism towards him.

Ok Steve, thanks for posting here...the phony sentence at the end was a nice touch.

Nothing phony about it. It's just underscoring the fact Steve DeOssie has been a blow hard for years is terrible on the radio and NOW we're all ripped at him, want him fired, et...? The guy has waxed poetically (or actually mumbled/slurred) about his time with the Giants and his stock answer in an argument he can't win with a listener is "You Never Played the Game!"

I guess if this was say a New England treasure like Gil Santos I could see the point but in the end having DeOssie outed as being a "traitor" and having allegiances to NY was not really news to me.

He's on New England Tailgate as I write this. I hoped (am I naive) that Ordway would open with it but no. Hense I turned the channel

I got the exact same note from Wolfe -- he just writes a "form letter" and inserts names. I wrote him back and said, "Not good enough, I'm done with your station. Bye bye."

He apologized....when? I heard him i didn't think he apologized he rationalized, which is another way of saying he made excuses for what he said. And if he did apologize who would believe him anyways, his lively hood is involved.

i havent gotten a response from anybody. all i know is i will never watch or listen to anything hes a part off.

DeOssie is TRYING to make it look like Pats fans are mad at him for picking the Giants to win -- deliberately shifting the issue to something it's not.

I expected nothing less from him. What a Fraud.
I'm sure that they are just loving all this publicity.

Contacting the sponsors of the shows that he appears on is probably more effective than contacting the stations that he appears on.

Comcast Sports Tonight: Uno's, ****'s Sporting Goods

New England Tailgate: Kayem

I'm not sure who the sponsors for WBZ's Patriots Game Day, Patriots 5th Quarter, and Sports Final are, but I'd contact them too.

No matter what, I'd call the Krafts and encourage them to block DeOssie from any and all shows that they produce themselves.

If enough Patriots fans contact the Krafts, they might be influenced enough to at least pressure WBZ to get DeOssie off their network's shows.

I got a response from Wolfe as well although he did not have an argument to make in response in my case.

I have not felt that DeOssie did not have the right to pick whichever team he wants to pick or cheer on whichever team he wants to cheer on. I did not even have a problem with his showing up at the rally, an appearance for which he was apparently paid.

My argument all along has been that he did not need to be so disrespectful of his NE neighbors in the process. DeOssie does not have to support me. He does not have to be my friend. But he has chosen to be my neighbor. That was the argument I made in my email to Wolfe.

DeOssie was really backpedaling in the EEI phone interview in a way that I really find irritating, claiming to have said one thing when he really said another. So here he is puffing out his chest and claiming that he stands by what he said while in the same breadth claiming he said one thing when he actually said another.

I would have much more respect for him if he had not done that.

While I have no evidence one way or the other, as others here have said, I really don't buy his arguments for why he is supportive of the Giants relative to the Pats either. It just does not ring true to my ears. In truth all of that means very little to me as it is still a matter of disrespecting his NE neighbors and how tasteless he has been in my view.

I do think he has handled the whole thing poorly from start to finish including his phony apology, unnecessary bluster and apparent unwillingness to deal with us respectfully.

I agree with those who have said that we would have just laughed at DeOssie if we had won the game but at the same time, I still do not think we would have held him in the same regard as we did previously.

The difference between the Pats losing the game and winning the game has been that DeOssie himself would very likely have handled us laughing at him better than the way he has handled this. At least I would hope so. As it is now he has squandered an opportunity to dig himself out of this hole.

I for one will not be able to listen to him again without hearing the DeOssie of this past week. That said I don't expect everybody to feel the same way about this and totally respect other opinions in this matter.

Has this taken off on facebook at all? I'm not an fb user anymore, but from my time with an active account, protests, causes, etc., really gain alot of momentum on the social network....people need to hit HIM where its going to hurt him financially or reputation-wise. Absolutely we must boycott his steakhouse. Also, if anyone local to EMASS has ever been to any of the Patriots charity softball games, DeOssie is ALWAYS there either playing or just sucking wind using everyone's oxygen. Probably not the time or place - at a charity event - to organize a DeOssie protest, but its an idea. Then again, if DeOssie and Smerlas' All Pro Productions is behind the fundraiser, then how much of the "funds" are actually going to the charity is open to question.
Someone mentioned before, but the Fred and Steve's facebook page should be absolutely carpet bombed with protest and negative posts....good luck, and I really hope some active facebook people take the helm here....GO PATS

i don't think the vast majority of fans are mad because hes a giants fan or picked the giants. And i don't think his obfuscation is going to work

I've already skipped the 2xs that he's been on WEEI and Comcast. Quite honestly, I don't think he really adds anymore critical insight than your average armchair QB doesn't already know. Screw him.

the anger for Steve DeVorcie continues.......Yelp it up people for Fred & Steves Steakhouse.......
