The Post game venting thread.(merged a lot)

The simple fact remains the same. When the playcalling is in balance, we win. When it isn't, we lose.

Tonight:

Pass: 41 Runs: 19

BJGE has exactly 10 carries, one more than he did in last year's loss against the Jets.

Where was Ridley? Why did he get 0 reps?

Also why did we go empty when the Giants had their 3 safety packages on the field?

That happened quite a few times.

A lot of questions and no answers.

I'm pretty much at a loss. I thought we'd end up honoring MHK, yet that's baby ass face manning with the **** eating grin up there on the stage.

Wow.. just wow..

Big Fail.

If I had a gripe about the play calling, it would be with running on first down too much in the second to last possession. Too many difficult long third downs. Needed better production out of first down today. Running the ball wasn't cutting it.

I don't think this is why they lost however.

18 UFA

How about getting some ******* talent on this team BB? ******* christ

why in the hell Ridley was not even given 1 snap

Forgive me for not reading this thread before adding a reply, so what I say might be redundant.

Disappointing loss of course. The only solace I'm taking is that they didn't play particularly bad in any facet of the game. I thought Brady played great, I thought the OL played well and I thought the defense played well.

Pats struggled with field position and time of possession. I'm sure the drops by WRs has been covered ad naseum (see re: not reading), but I have a hard time killing any WR for making a drop.

Trying to take a step back and look at the big picture, 15 wins & a conference championship is a successful season. They have 28-ish million in cap room for next year, double picks in the 1st & 2nd round and fewer areas to address than most teams (ideally for me, a WR, and DB). They'll be a contender again for years to come. For that I'll thank BB, Bob Kraft and the entire organization.

Running Woodhead up the middle:mad:

DUMB

Every time you create a thread before a game where you are confident that we will win, something bad happens. LOL. Not really serious, but I was like oh no, not again when I saw your wonderful thread.

Does it cost more money to have more threads? Does it mean more server time, or expense? Why does it matter that people want to create their own threadS?

We just lost the damn Super Bowl... Let people express their frustration, some of us are not happy we lost, we have issue with losing the big game. Were no privileged, were not spoiled, were UPSET we lost the Super bowl. It's a natural reaction no matter how much success this team has achieved in the past.

The posters who are attacking everyone for expressing a different emotion than theirs are the real Morons. Also, as new fans log on, which are new customers for PatsFans.com... Let THEM say what they want instead of chase them off.

Why am I supposed to be ok with losing the Super Bowl... I simply don't get it. I know it's a game, it's nothing compared to the trials and tribulations most people in the world have to deal with, but we have the oppotunitty to follow this team, we choose to do it here, on this site, and when someone has a different perspective than you... That's ok.

Vent? Ok, here are 2:

1.) Having Brady go play action after BJGE got drilled on 1st down was asinine.

2.) That blitz at the end of the game, after the defense had stopped the Giants on first down, was even more asinine.

it never goes away because morons keep bringing it up.

Yeah, i'm pointing at you.

F*cking dolt.

welll we had a chance to douse that flame and we didnt ... Its over and we will always have that hang on our heads... Until we win another won

Let me not forget "Mr Playcaller" Bill Obrien. Against the fastest and most athletic front 4 we dont call a SINGLE screen pass????:bricks:

for those praising the defense....is it really good to allow the opposing QB to complete 30 out of 40 passes?...none in garbage time.

Yes, point total was low, but 30 out of 40?...that stinks.

I think more misdirection plays should have been called...Giants over-pursued

Hopefully O'Brein gets dropped off at Happy Valley on the charter home. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out, Bill.

The acadamy award for best impersonation of Nick Kacur goes to..... Nate Solder.

Had a tremendous year and is going to be a stud, but man he sucked tonight.

Mankins was easily the Oscar winner on the OL again tonight. Oddly he just said they pass protected well and run blocked pretty good and he chuckled during his interview which better have been guilty nerves. Guys who aren't personally accountable really annoy me, especially in superbowls. I know they win and lose as a team, but Welker stepped up in his presser... Gronk is insisting he was 100% and just didn't make some plays. The tough guy cowboy act is wearing a little thin for me when an $8M+ LG doesn't man up in the big game and doesn't even acknowledge it after the fact.

I hated the playcalling in this game. Not enough running. I'm sick of the 5 wide empty backfield when running and running down the clock makes so much more sense. Hopefully this will get fixed next season.

Anyone else blame Gisele Bundchen? I have a theory. Gisele has made Brady soft. Ever since Gisele came, Brady has become a metrosexual and has lost 2 consecutive Super Bowls.

A complete lack of commitment to the running game, once again.

Six running backs active on the 53 man roster.

Four running backs active for the Super Bowl.

Two running backs selected in the 2011 NFL Draft.

Gisellle somehow forced Branch, Welker and Hernandez to miss those catches?
