I love watching the homers spin yet another laughable display by the unit not called offense, or special teams. Defense doesn't seem like the right word for those guys though.
9-3 and still ahead of your Jests, you phony f#$%. LOL.

You'll have to forgive the mood of the board given the last few years of exposure to this defense. They simply cannot clamp down on anyone and are reliant on stupid plays and Tom Brady. That's the simple truth of the matter.

Quick correction

Again, I get the point....we won the game....Like every Vegas hack had us doing CONVINCINGLY, yet we won by only one TD. But let's look ahead to the playoffs....you think this kind of sloppy, inability to close the game, inconsistency, lack of pass rush/pressure is going to get us past the first round?? I don't. We can not run the ball WHEN IT COUNTS. Our D can not make the big stop (Especially in the secondary) WHEN IT COUNTS....and we CAN NOT get the pressure....when we need to.

I am happy for the win.....Believe that we will definitely make it to the playoffs....but do not see at this point REALISTICALLY...how we do not exit early once again. Hope I am wrong.....
Hey, genius, why didn't you take the Colts and the points, you dope?

at most 21 up against buffalo.

This is kind of a rambling post....not sure where you were going with it. But I never said that "We can't do anything right". I think we agree that our offense got too conservative in late 2nd half, and we continue to not be able to run the ball late when it matters or is necessary and that the defense (especially secondary) played "matador D" or gave them what they wanted.....for the entire 4th quarter.....right? Now where we disagree, is that we won't allow this in a COMPETITIVE game. EVERY game should be looked at as COMPETITIVE....or IMPORTANT. If you were looking past the colts as BB said....you were ignorant. The team got complacent today and figured they had it in the bag...and this kind of behavior needs to disappear before the playoffs, and the coaches need to keep the foot on the pedal until the gun sounds. If they want to say crap about running it up....let em. But the defense and offense need to keep playing the game until the gun goes off. This is just being realistic about things....not paranoid.

yeah...we can't do anything right...why, just look at the four consecutive scoring possessions....Brady moving the ball downfield at will...and then, the dreaded fourth quarter with a 31-3 lead...they run for five yards and Brady throws this pass to Hernandez behind the line after motioning him all over the place and the Colts defender sees it from five yards back of the LOS and runs in and blows it up!!...I LOVE that play...never seen it before...but I LOVE IT!!! why pass downfield at will when you can surprise teams with these backwards negative plays!!! Let's go right back to Hernandez again...THIS time he's got the safety beat 20 yards downfield...the safety runs into him never looking back with his hands up...incomplete....who knew that could have been the play of the game? He makes that catch or gets the call and we weeeee-un by FOURTEEN!!!...of course, if Brady just lines up and calls three running plays there, there is NO TIME left at the end for that last Indy score but what else is new...he already had five yards in the bag....instead they run plays from sets no one has seen before...wonder why?...you'd think there'd be a reason...right?

The secondary played matador D the entire 4th quarter...Mayo blitzed once and nearly murdered Orlavsky...it was there the entire game...they called 4 man rush predominantly and Garcon repeatedly ran the same identical sideline go and got the exact same defensive response....yeah, it looked terrible because it was...that doesn't mean those calls will be used in a COMPETITIVE game...or else they would have been called the entire game and Orlavsky would have thrown for 900 yards.

In my lifetime I've seen games like this maybe a 100 times...the key is to get out of it with a win, do not let it go to overtime and do not LOSE it. They did that. You want to extrapolate this game out into the playoffs go right ahead, if paranoia is your security blanket.

A win is a win, but that ending wasn't pretty. Concerned about the defence.

I absolutely believe BB lies through his teeth all the time with his non-answers. I have to wonder if they were trying out some new things. At least, that makes me feel a little better.

And the eventual return of Chung and Spikes makes me feel a lot better.

those two guys are the glue of this defense. i'm convinced we will get better against the run once Spikes comes back, and the DBs need Chung's leadership.

9-3 and still ahead of your Jests, you phony f#$%. LOL.

I also like how the Homers have run out of ammunition, and now when people criticize something they're Jets fans.

"One and Done" come playoff time.

Great to be 9-3. Fun season to watch this year. Yet, this team is a paper tiger. 31-24 is ridiculous.

I was disappointed that the Pats took their foot off the gas in garbage time, but this team was never really ever out of hand for them. The Colts scored 21 of their 24 points in the final 9 minutes of the game where the Pats were up 31-3 at that point. This is why I am not against running up the score.

That said, I don't really care about this game. They were clearly the better team and the score is not indicative of how lopsided this game really was. It wasn't like the Colts' game vs. the Steelers where the Colts played them down to the wire.

The pats took their foot off the gas against a bad team and it made them look bad, but I seriously doubt you will see them do that vs. a playoff team. That is why I am not worried. The Steelers played down to this team. The Ravens played down to and lost to several bad teams. There isn't a playoff team in the AFC who have had as bad or worse game than the Pats had in the 4th quarter today.

If the Pats struggle like they did in the fourth down the stretch, then I will get worried. I doubt they do. Today's game might be a wake up call not to take any team lightly down the line.

Devin McCourty is officially entering bust territory.

He makes me miss Ellis Hobbs/Deltha O'Neal/Hank Poteat/Duane Starks/Jason Webster.

Devin McCourty sophomore season = Darius Butler redux

Devin McCourty sophomore season = Darius Butler redux

McCourty had been playing well the last month before his injury. Not anywhere to his 2010 level, but definitely not in Butler territory. It is first game back from injury.

This defense is trash and anyone that says otherwise is blind!

Not really He clearly was not playing in Butler territory. Not even close.
You stated he was playing well the last month. I disagree with the adjective well.

Because I don't gamble you douche bag......
Of course you don't, Gutless. You just wait until the game is over and then claim you knew how things were going to turn out all along. Back to Mama's basement.
