I did take a second to wonder if that's going to be Johnson's "It's not that F'in hard!" moment in Brady's mind.

Or as Evelyn says his Non MF'in Factor moment. Bill loves the personality. Admired what the player could do in his prime in a crayon system. And from all accounts Chad is still trying, it's just not translating in real time game situations. But he loved Lawyer and admired Moss' accomplishments too. From what I saw on the sidelines yesterday, Brady and Ocho aren't huddling up and talking things through anymore. Tom is carrying a lot of weight on his shoulders and I don't think he has space there for Ocho 6 weeks into this season... Which was also the case in 2010 when he ran out of space on his shoulders to support Randy's psyche...

Gonna hang on till the bitter end huh? jeebus. lol

I'm not sure what you mean here, because your response makes no sense in light of my post.

He's still running the wrong routes after six weeks of "getting to know" the offense. I say secure Brandon Lloyd and dangle Ochocinco for a late round pick. It sucks. I like Chad and think he's a great entertainer. But, sooner or later, we have to let him go if he still can't get the offense.

Coming around to this view. I can take slow but steady improvement, but after yesterday I'm starting to lose faith.

what did he say?

From the WEEI links: [URL]http://itiswhatitis.weei.com/...-i-have-tons-of-confidence-in-chad-ochocinco/[/url]

Look, he’s working hard at it,” Brady said. “We’re all working hard at it. I’d say there’s definitely a lot of improvement that we’ve made and that we’re going to continue to make. I have a lot of trust and confidence in him. I don’t lack for that at all. He didn’t get a lot of opportunities yesterday. I think that’s the reality of that game. There were a lot of other guys that were in there. Aaron [Hernandez] was in there a lot, [Rob Gronkowski] was in there a lot, obviously, Wes [Welker] and Deion [Branch] have been out there. That was just primarily the way it turned out yesterday. How it turns out when we play Pittsburgh, I have no idea. It will probably be pretty different there, too. Every single person that’s on the team is expected to contribute. Like I said, I have tons of confidence in Chad.”

re: brady comments on ocho

he sounds more like that was the game plan.

But Tom isn't going to dump on a teammate until that guy isnt a teammate anymore. Even then (see Moss) he'll still say he loves the guy as a friend and a teammate.

I have a hard time seeing ocho getting it at this point...the season is 1/2 over...you're better off takign a shot at trading for brandon lloyd or even resigning a 34year old randy moss

Hernandez makes a mistake and brady still goes to him on the next play, and in the endzone....ocho makes a mistake and is taken out of the game...its pretty telling who brady trusts, and Ocho's snap counts are diminishing each week

Yup, but it's the game plan for a reason. Earlier they asked him about hypothetical players (say WR...wink wink) coming in at the deadline and can they contribute. He said it depends on the player and gave Deion as an example of a guy who could because he had experience in the system. Oddly so does Lloyd albeit with a lesser QB under Tom's former OC... I think that was the comment the other poster was eluding to.

Moss already had his out of here moment because while he understood the playbook he didn't fit the system. He lacked versatility and that balls to the wall mentality that mentally tough teams have to embrace.

ya, heres the comment on bringing in a WR at the trade deadline

On the possibility of acquiring a wide receiver at this point of the season: "We got Deion [Branch] last year at the trade [deadline] and he came in and did pretty well. Whatever position -- kicker's probably the easiest. You don't have to do much. There's only one formation. A lot of guys switch teams at this time of year. It's just part of the process of the league. I think the players, we just have to do our job. That's what we need to do, and we all need to do a better job of that as we go forward."

Woodhead last year comes to mind as a guy who came in and really got it quickly.

Lol, so quickly he was scoring TDs and TFB wasn't even sure what his name was yet.

Chad is supposed to be fast. Can he learn how to return kicks?

Six games, nine receptions for 196 yards. I'm frustrated with his performance and his progress. He needs to start contributing right away when they get back from the bye or put Price on the field and sit Ocho down for a bit. Since he's already pocketed his signing bonus and his contract money is mostly guaranteed, I say we keep him the rest of the way. However, if his performance gets no better, he's not here next season.

Dumb thread started by, and supported by the masochist police who flagellate themselves whenever a player makes a mistake. If Ocho is the easy target, how soon will we have a Wes Welker poll. After all how can we afford to keep a player who only can product 46 yds after being targeted so often.

AND then we can have thecut Aaron Hernandez poll. After all how can we keep a guy who keeps getting penalties and puts the ball on the ground so consistently

And then we can have the cut Logan Mankins poll. After all how can we keep a guy who is going to get Brady killed

And then we can have the cut Tom Brady because how can we keep a QB who has 9 picks in just 6 games. Especially one that can't move in the pocket

I know I'm being sarcastic here, but what is sad, is that I wouldn't be surprised to see any of my tongue in cheek proposals come to pass. Because for some people life is no fun when you can't be bashing someone

Six games nine catches for 196 yards. He got a lot of guaranteed money to put up better numbers than those. I'm not saying he needs to go right now but he does need to improve his performance. This is not week two of the season anymore. You would not have accepted this from Brandon Tate I am sure.

not try our third round pick taylor price after the bye? Give him 30 snaps and see if he offers more production than ocho...he showed good hands in the preseason and some nice speed
