The 2011 season: The Jets Suck (merged a lot)

That's one significant difference between our boards. You've got a lot of folks over there whose bitterness borders on downright evil.

I've never seen a post like that -- how can someone get so twisted over football? From what I've seen, sg3 is just as bad, why is he still on there?

Agreed. I got banned from there because of him. I brought up a few counter points about (what else) cheating! Nothing nasty, just facts. It actually felt good! There is no reasoning with 16yr old bandwagon fans :singing:

I think we've got a good chance in this game.

I know how horrible we looked on Sunday. But something that not a lot of people are talking about is how OUTSTANDING the Ravens defense played on Sunday. They were fantastic. I was kind of scared and I was just shoving Cheetos down my pie-hole on the couch.

That isn't the Patriots. The Patriots have one of the best defensive minds in the NFL as a head coach and they're still one of the worst defenses in the NFL. They're bad. Punch Tom Brady in the throat, we win.

Why does every jet fan forget about the Pats scoring 30 a game on the regular. Yes our D isn't very good but this is all they are focusing on."oh their D sucks so we should win"..but they are going to need Sanchez for 3 TD's (laugh out loud when i typed this)

I also like this:

New England simply doesn't have the personnel to shut down our offense

I don't know how we are going to shut down that 40 ppg machine in NY....wait

This should be an interesting week, with both teams having some major question marks as they head into the game.

Having said that, the Jets still blow harder than a category 5 hurricane.

I think we can all agree that the Jets question marks appear to outweigh the Patriots question marks at this early stage of season 2011.

Because they beat the Pats in the Playoffs. Any thread you read is that. No trophies, no parade, just that they beat the almighty Pats. Thats a BIG THING in GREENLAND! Damn, at least we got a freakin hat for the divisiion! I can see them now..."Ahhh, a divisional hat would sure look sweet in our trophy case:" "theres plenty of room". Heck, maybe they'll start giving out rings for beating tnhe Pats!!:singing:

I know jets fans are jelous of what the pats have/had in the past..but dam

They haven't won **** since before my father was born LOL

they haven't won crap, period...Super Bowl 3 was fixed.

I don't know about it being fixed, but it definitely was NOT an NFL championship game. Technically speaking, it was a postseason exhibition between the champions of two different leagues.

Wait..so Sanchez doesn't have 3 SB rings?

Oh, come on. To a lot of players from both teams it was much more than just an exhibition game. Some of the Baltimore Colt players still have not gotten over the loss.

think we'll see anymore mcknight blitzes on sunday?

How did you miss where I wrote, "technically speaking"?

The boards are actually quite similar. You have your blind homers, your people who overreact after one loss and go on suicide watch, your former high school players who think they know everything about football and talk like they attend the coach's meetings, your posters in there 50s with families who verbally attack other posters because they like a different sports teams, etc.

All of what you say is true yet you ignore my primary point, which is the extreme bitterness of many Jets fans morphing to pure vitriol. You must admit that on balance, things are much nastier at JI. People write "GFY" more than hello and goodbye combined, and that's mild compared to the other profane blather commonly posted there.
