Which of the following feats is considered by you to be the most surprising if it would happen,in other words which of the 3 selections in the poll do you think would be least likely

I don't see Chad having a career year, so I voted for that.

In truth though, Ridley getting the ROTY is so astronomically unlikely that that would be the real winner. It's just not the really plausible enough to vote on. It would be near impossible for a RB to win ROTY in our system.

Now if you may it something more realistic like Ridley will have the most yards/tds/etc... of all the RB's on the team, then I would have voted there. That's unlikely to happen, but it's a realistic possibility.

If Ridley shows as much as he did in 2 of the preseason games,we could see a lot of him,I think he will outshine Vereen.

While we rotate the RBs here,I think if one of the new guys stands out and shows good stuff, then BB will not hesitate to use him as often as possible....whatever it takes to win.

I can't disagree that he didn't impress. I'm really excited to see what he does.

But NFL ROTY? Just don't see it. If you look at the last few RB that won it (Peterson, Cadilac Williams, Portis, Thomas, Mike Anderson and Edge..... 3 of them were top-10 picks, 2 were early 2 rounders and only Mike Anderson came out of left field (pick 189). Going further back, only Anderson sticks out as a guy that wasn't a fairly high pick. Most are 1st round guys. or very early 2nd.

They were all 3 down guys too that started and were heavily features out of the gate. I don't Ridley doing that. He may take some snaps away from the other guys as the season goes on, but probably not enough for ROTY.

Like I said, more realistic to say "He'll end the year as our feature back. That would be a big surprise, but he could.

You also have your Davis' and Fosters who come out of nowhere. I am really impressed with Ridley's wiggle for a power back and his pass-catching is way above what I expected.

All that said, I think it would take an injury to BJGE for this to happen for Ridley.

Very slight chance but a higher chance than Ocho having a career year. I like Ocho and think he'll get on the same page pretty soon. He had no off-season with the team and this is a complex offense. But even if he picks up the offense great in a few weeks, there are just too many weapons for him to get a ton of targets. Between Welker, the TE's, and a hopefully renewed move back to the running game, their just aren't enough balls to go around. I just want him to do the things he does well, he doesn't have to dominate for this to be a great offense.

the pats are a RBBC team and Woodhead is the 3rd down back so Ridley will not be on the field much

I'm an Ochocinco fan, but he's not going to have a career year. A career year for him would be something in the neighborhood of 90 receptions, 1,400 yards, 10 TDs. I can't think of any scenario in which he hits those numbers. Welker, Gronk, and Hernandez would all have to get hurt for that to even be a remote possibility, and even then it would surprise me.

I can at least think of a hypothetical situation where Ridley wins ROY (it would involve BJGE and Woodhead getting hurt), and Haynesworth having a career year wouldn't surprise me at all.

No question imo, Ochocinco career season. I can see Haynesworth tearing it up and it's possible Ridley could end up OROY, but no way Ocho has his best season ever this year, he simply isn't the athlete he once was and he's not going to get the looks and touches he had a as the primary target for most of his career. i think he will do well but isn''t going to be as explosive or as much of a threat as he once was, so i don't see him busting out but rather playing well.

I picked 3. The Patriots' system does not seem to favor that outcome.

All of those are EXTREMELY unlikely.

I would be most surprised at Ochocinco. His skills seem to have diminished the last few years.

If Ridley ends up in the starting role, he'll put together a very good season. Our offense is very RB friendly. Look at what BJGE did? He'd be lucky to make another team's roster.

Haynesworth still has the talent, he's just in horrible shape. If he plays himself into good shape the first quarter of the season, I could see him being a force later on. Though a career year for him would be DPoY, so the bar's pretty high.

I'd say zero chance to all of them....I'd be surprised if Ocho gets half of what was his best year in Cinci ....Haynesworth has been defensive player of the year, I'm not sure how you top that....Ridley is 3rd or 4th on the depth chart at RB (depending on how Vereen develops). He did look good in pre-season, but that's what it was ,pre-season. As Parcells used to say, let's not put him in Canton just yet.

Ocho..definately not what he once was.....and looks like he has stone hands so far....maybe that changes, but TB may look at him as the 3rd or 4th option on passing downs if he keeps it up......

BTW...Did Branch play at all this preseason??????

It is hard to imagine a rookie in a RBBC offense winning ROTY.
